Character History/Biography
Maeili is called Molly by everyone, unless she is in trouble. Molly was born in Ireland and raised in America. She has a duel citizenship. She speaks with an American accent unless she’s angry, then the Irish brogue comes through. She has quite a temper at times.
Molly has a way of sensing someone’s true nature. If they’re inherently good people or bad. Her judge of character is eerily accurate. Her way with plants is also remarkable. She seems to know exactly what even the most alien plants need, and every green thing seems to thrive for her. He doesn’t have a green thumb, her entire arm might as well be green.
She also possesses amazing gymnastic ability and impeccable balance. Records state gymnast training since she was five and multiple awards. She once auditioned for the “Cirque De Soile” as a contortionist when she was sixteen, but only made it to the third elimination auditions.
She has an unusual allergy to ferrous metals, as they make her skin blister and burn and have an almost corrosive effect on her bare flesh. She also reports a caffeine allergy.
Molly is actually one of 63 Sidhe* chosen in the ‘Lottery’ currently at Gamma Site. As on Earth, they remain secretive and hide. People are already suspicious of the alien, they don’t want to test their reaction to the alien among them.
The 'magic' on this world is weak. Slightly less than half of what it was on Earth. All 63 Sidhe are feeling the strain, and have learned not to rely on magic so much. At the understanding that Earth is lost they will quietly panic. Of the 63 only twenty are female. They may be looking at the end of their race, atop of the loss of their world.
Molly was never very strong with 'magic' to begin with. Here she can maintain her round eared illusion and coax plants to grow and thrive, she can use her magic to keep any machine with no ferrous metal in it running beyond when it should.
- The Sidhe are actually a very ancient alien race, perhaps older than the Ancients. So old they've forgotten that part of their history; their own origins were lost. They were on earth before Cro-Magnon became modern human, but remained hidden. Their magic isn't so much “magic” as it is "psi tech" but it's a part of their genetic makeup. It is this alien heritage that causes the Sidhe’s allergy to ferrous metals and caffeine. The atmosphere on the planet of the Gamma Site inhibits this Psi-tech ability.

Molly is five foot nothin' and 100 pounds soaking wet, with frizzy red hair that turns into a brillo pad if she doesn't take care of it. Pale aqua eyes, more freckles than you can imagine, and the figure of a 13 year-old girl--which is to say, none.

With a wicked sense of humor, she is quite capable of pulling pranks on friends. Outspoken as well as outgoing, she is one of the friendliest people one can meet.
