Located eight hundred miles south of Gamma Prime in the planet's tropical zone, Rancho Apocalypse consists of a single homestead. Eleven adults and three children live here. The purpose of the site is to catalog more of the planet's (tropical) flora and fauna and to experiment with growing coffee, cacao and poppy plants so that eventually the colony will be able to produce coffee, chocolate and morphine for itself.
