Appearance

Erin is short, standing at only 155 cm, but she's toughly built as a result of quite a lot of exercise. Because of the exercise, however, she's also lacking in the... body fat department, for the most part [ironing board ftw].

She has dark brown hair which she keeps no longer than shoulder height, and matching brown eyes. Her features are cute, with almond-shaped eyes and full, pouty lips - although her usual style of dress and [lack of a] hairdo tends to make her look rather boyish.

When wearing the makeup and clothes her parents like seeing her in, however, she almost looks like a different person - delicate, feminine, and decidedly not someone you'd peg for a wrestler. She generally hates looking like that, though, and avoids it as best as she can while the parents aren't around.

Visible Markings: None.

Not Readily Visible Markings: A few scars scattered around her body from the incident when she was 12. One particularly noticeable scar on her left arm (visible when she wears short sleeves) from an exposed bone injury.

Erin's PB is Natalie Portman.

Personality

Erin is something of a hybrid between a little ball of anger and someone who really just needs some kind of affection. She's angry at her parents for forcing her to do things she doesn't like [the only gratitude she shows toward them is because they let her do some things she wanted, though the fact they wanted something in return pretty much ruins that], namely making her act, look and dress like a proper lady. Perhaps she wouldn't mind it so much if they weren't so ADAMANT about it - and just to spite them, she tends to not take a whole lot of care of her appearance whenever she can get away with it [truth is, the girl deeply resents her parents for picking her based on looks alone, and hates her looks for it]. She's angry at the people who took the people she thought of as a family away from her, and she's angry at everyone else for not being the family that was taken away from her.

The other side to all that anger is that in reality she really misses the time she spent at the orphanage, and gets little to no actual affection from her foster family, has no time between the constant moving around to actually make friends, and in the end can't find anything to fill in the gap left by that incident eight years ago.

Toward most people she'll seem a little hostile - Erin is generally an aggressive person, easily angered, hard to calm down, and tends to use harsher words than intended even when she's not angry. Which isn't to say she can't be friendly, but it's hard to fall in her good graces - she generally feels trying to make friends is rather futile since she'll just move out soon anyway and never see any of them again.

Under all that anger, though, she's still immensely insecure, and would hold on for dear life to anything that can actually make her happy - be that archery, fighting, or anyone she actually does make friends with. She also envies people who get along well with their families, though she wouldn't admit it.

History

Erin is an orphan - the unwanted child of a girl no older than 14, is all she knows about her heritage. All of her early years were spent in the orphanage, and she figured she didn't really NEED a family - the kids were more than enough of a family for her!

Of course, she was quite aware that one day, she'd have to leave the orphanage - either get adopted, or when she turned 18. A few couples manifested interest in her when she was still an infant, but for some reason or other none adopted her at the time.

Not that she minded. She was perfectly content where she was - in spite of the sadness brought about whenever one of the kids got adopted, some always stayed behind, and it was familiar. Even the one kid that got adopted when she was 3 but kept visiting the orphanage - particularly so during her last few months there - was familiar. So really, why leave?

...Well, the reason for leaving came, eventually.

One particular night, when she was around 12 years old, a group of strangers came into the orphanage - she couldn't fathom why, exactly, but they dragged out a couple of kids - mostly the more vulnerable ones, herself included, and attacked them. When waking up in a hospital, she was informed that one of the kids - a girl - had been killed during the attack. All of the kids involved in the incident were transferred out to different orphanages, and from that point on, everything just... changed. The sense of familiarity was gone, everyone grew apart, and their little family was pretty much over.

If only they had been strong enough to fight back whoever it was that did that to them! They could've defended themselves, protected the girl, none of it would have happened, and they would still be all together. She was too weak, she decided, and she couldn't be weak anymore.

When a couple adopted the girl a few months after, they wanted a doll instead of a daughter - someone to dress up and paint and put up on display for everyone to see. It was okay, she figured, because they would also let her do what she wanted if she would obey him - and she wanted to become stronger. Erin began practicing sports regularly, though what it was that she practiced changed as often as their home - Erin's new 'family' traveled a lot, and she changed neighbourhoods every couple of months or so. She's taken a little bit of everything between sports and fighting. She showed more aptitude toward archery and wrestling, those being the only ones she's been practicing regularly since. If anything, she figured, being adopted helped her get stronger. But now there was nothing left to defend!

Her foster parents have recently moved to That Country, Beethoven more specifically, and she transferred into the third year of Second Heaven as per their wish. She's nowhere near as much of an academic genius as most of her schoolmates, but she does particularly excel at sports and is surprisingly strong for someone so small.

Note that she is 2-3 years late in her education, because she started a little later than most kids in middle school and had a couple of adaptation issues which ended up delaying her entry in High School.
