Another idea for a game would be chess. I would like chess because it's also pretty, and it would be super easy to see Alex cheat (he would just have to move pieces when Hallie wasn't there). But also we would need to have a good chess setup so we wouldn't look like total retards. So we'd need help from someone who like actually knew shit about chess.

Chess is very practical, nobody actually looks at a board enough to think about the nature of the set up, but I'm sure that there are a number of famous chess matches recorded on-line somewhere, if need be we could simply borrow from the experts.  Poker is also practical since it is easy for the a cheating character to have a number of cards up his sleve, or to play with a marked deck.  If we are willing to take ourselves less seriously, Go-Fish, Uno, or War would be suitable candidates... but that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of things, although there's something peculiarly disgusting about cheating at those games to achieve a seduction.

Okay, what game? I voted for poker, because it's easy to see who wins, although seeing Alex cheating would be a little more difficult (but not out of the question). Also, poker is a beautiful game to watch, with the colors and suits of the cards (witness "Casino Royale"). But if anybody has a better idea, I would be perfectly willing to abandon the idea of poker.
