1. The Roman Catholic Apostolic religion shall be the official religion of the State, with due regard for the provisions of section [x] (religious freedom).

Federal Government shall support and recognize the Roman Catholic Apostolic religion as the official religion of the State,

Article 6.- The religion official is the Catolica, Apostolica, Roman, without damage of the religious liberty that remains guaranteed in accordance with the precepts of this Constitucion. The official relations of the Republic with the Holy See be governed for concordats or other bilateral agreements.
