Basic Biography

Dr Elizabeth Shaw was drafted from the University of Cambridge by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart as a scientific advisor to U.N.I.T. At first she was sceptical of U.N.I.T’s ambit to defend against alien invasion, but when she encountered the newly regenerated third doctor, and the Nestene Consiousness, Liz was forced to change her mind.

An accomplished scientist, Liz is an expert on meteorites with degrees in several disciplines, including physics and medicine. She worked alongside the Doctor for many months, but eventually resigned from U.N.I.T and returned to Cambridge, after informing the Brigadier that all the Doctor really needed was someone to pass him his test tubes and tell him how wonderful he was.

Entry Point
