Movement Speed

From Prof Sai

Your Movement speed is determined by your "Steps" stat. This measures how many posts it takes for you to get from one location to another. The default speed is Steps 1, but your speed is effected by your height, outfits, and other issues as listed below:

Height:

  • 3-4.99 ft: +1 steps
  • 2-2.99 ft +2 steps
  • Under 2 ft, +4 steps

No shoes, or high heels: +1 steps

Cup Size:

  • D= +1
  • DD= +2
  • E= +4
  • Larger=+5
  • Cut these figures in half (Round down) if your outfit has support. Outfits without support: Soap Bubbles, Towel, Party dress, God Robe, full body pantyhose.

Flight and any vehicle make height and footwear irrelevant, but cup size and lack of support is still factored in.

If your speed is 2 or more, and no one posts for 6 hours, you can Edit: a second move step into the bottom of your post.

A fast character can hold a slower one by the hand, so that both can move at the faster speed. Both must be willing for this to work.

Indoor areas such as the hotel are smaller, so act as though your steps were one lower.

Movement examples:

The fastest speed you can have is Speed=0. At this speed, you can perform actions in one place, state where you went, and then perform other actions there. (You still only roll once.)

Post: I'm at the waterfall. I do xxxxx.
Post: I'm at Cliffs north,
Post: I'm at Cliff bottom
Post: I'm at Cliff south

At Speed=1. you can still move every post, but you END your posts by stating where you are headed. That is where you will be on your next post. Note that for long trips, this will stay one step behind Speed=0

Post: I'm at The waterfall I do xxxxx.
Post: I'm at The waterfall, headed for Cliffs north.
Post: I'm at Cliffs north, headed for Cliffs bottom
Post: I'm at Cliff bottom, headed for Cliffs south
Post: I'm at Cliff south

Unlike Step 0, Step one can't change his mind between posts. If something happens at your previous location after you head for another, you have to post that you are heading back.

At Speed=2. you can't arrive and state a departure in the same post. Thus you'll spend two posts in each location.

Post: I'm at The waterfall I do xxxxx.
Post: I'm at The waterfall, headed for Cliffs north.
Post: I'm at Cliffs north,
Post: I'm at Cliffs north, headed for Cliffs bottom
Post: I'm at Cliffs bottom
Post: I'm at Cliff bottom, headed for Cliffs south
Post: I'm at Cliffs south

At Speed=3. Things take longer. There are two "Headed" posts required before you get anywhere. You'll spend three posts in each location.

Post: I'm at The waterfall I do xxxxx.
Post: I'm at The waterfall, headed for Cliffs north.
Post: I'm at The waterfall, still headed for Cliffs north.
Post: I arrive at Cliffs north,
Post: I'm at Cliffs north, headed for Cliffs bottom
Post: I'm at Cliffs north, still headed for Cliffs bottom
Post: I arrive at Cliffs bottom
Post: I'm at Cliff bottom, headed for Cliffs south
Post: I'm at Cliff bottom, still headed for Cliffs south
Post: I arrive at Cliffs south
Post: I'm at Cliff south

At Speed=4 and above, you continue to need more "headed" statements in each location, so that you spend {speed} number of posts in each place.

You can do other things during the "Headed" posts, incuding rolling the dice, and combat, and access any object in the location. (This may not be realistic, but the alternative sounds too complicated.) If you change your mind, and decide to go out another exit, you start over with a new set of "Headed" posts.
