Balto-Boy

From Ms Paint Brawl

Balto-Boy is the user "Balto-Boy"'s original and main character. He is a dog/wolf/man hybrid with a brass-colored glove as a weapon. He first appeared in his current draft in the original MS Paint Brawl thread on Newgrounds, at about page 16.

Character's Origin

Back in what the user Balto-Boy calls "his noob years", he purchased a copy of Flash MX 2004 and started in what he thought would be a glorious career in Flash cartooning. Once his first Portal-Approved cartoon, Amy's Love became somewhat of a very very small success on Newgrounds, Balto-Boy felt that he needed a mascot for "Killer Wolf Studios, his Flash company". Yeah, it's very stupid. Noobs, huh? Anywho, the idea of making a wolf-like character came to mind. And after many many designs and redesigns, the dog/wolf/man thing we know as Balto-Boy came to fruition. Of course, he didn't have his glove weapon at first. That was not added until the MS Paint Brawl battles.

Weapons

Balto-Boy carries three weapons on his person at all times. And here they are...

The Aura Glove: Balto-Boy's main weapon: a gold-colored leather glove that is secured to his wrist by a brown belt. The glove's design and powers were directly inspired by the aura system and the level 24 icon on the Newgrounds website. It allows him to shoot aura rays and shapeshift into various forms. He can use the glove's auras in a number of ways. Typically, he shoots them, but he can also charge the energy behind a punch and unleash it with explosive force (Nuke Fist attack). It also lets him use the Howl to the Moon attack and summon another weapon of his.

Sticky: Balto-Boy's beating stick, which he has had ever since he was a child/puppy. It's just a simple stick that he has peeled off of a tree, but is extremely durable. It has no special purpose, it's just a simple stick. That he hits people with. That's about it.

The Multi-Colored Palm Tree: This is an extremely powerful weapon of Balto-Boy's, also known as the Admin's banstick. It shares the same aura powers that Balto-Boy has, but magnified to the up-teenth degree. It's power has been seen blowing out an entire chunk of the planet in a fight (of course, that was after someone broke it in half and it self-destructed, but I digress...). Balto-Boy unleashes it by charging up Sticky with his aura glove's auras. From there, Sticky changes to this weird looking red, blue, and green arrow-on-a-stick that, really, can't be described as anything more than a multi-colored palm tree. The weapon was conceived by Super Paint Brawl user NitroExplosion in a thread where he proposed designs for the Admin's and Mods' banstick. The Multi-Colored Palm Tree was rather mocked at first, but Balto-Boy began to use it and it's been in his arsenal ever since.

Powers/Abilities

Balto-Boy carries some of the abilities that his canine influences would imply. He has been known to use his slightly-advanced hearing and sense of smell in battle. He also shares dog-related weaknesses, such as being agitated by dog whistles. His main weapon is the glove on his right hand. For reasons not entirely known, Balto-Boy can use it to shoot out an array of normally-green auras at his opponents. It also lets him change into different forms of himself that originate from his personality. He currently has 5 of these forms: Shade Balto (apathy), Fabulous Balto (happiness), Demonic Balto (evil side), ber-Pissed Balto (anger), and Angelic Balto (good side). There are also two other forms he can use: Ghost Balto is formed when Balto-Boy dies while wearing the glove, and he has an ultimate form called BaltOmega (this form he doesn't know how to attain).

The glove also gives him access to a special move known as "Howl to the Moon". Balto-Boy howls as loud as he can up towards the sky, and either a chunk of the moon or the entire moon will sweep across the arena and smack into who/whatever he wishes. However, this particular attack tires Balto-Boy almost immediately and can only be used when he's in his default form.

Aura Forms Summaries

Balto-Boy's aura forms each share their own abilities and characteristics.

Shade Balto: A form made from Balto-Boy's apathetic side of his personality. He becomes this black mesh that's physical appearance is like black flames, but he actually feels like a blob of goo. His eyes become shiny and engulfed in purple flames. Balto-Boy's glove also disappears, but its effects are still present, letting him shoot purple auras. Aside from that, Shade Balto becomes something like Silly Putty and can use his body for attacks. In this form, he can stretch out his body, throw himself onto opponents, and sometimes even engulf and spit out his enemies. In this form, Balto-Boy doesn't speak. He also doesn't show any emotion towards anything.

Fabulous Balto: A form made from Balto-Boy's happiness. In this form, Balto-Boy's fur becomes a lighter shade of brown, his eyelashes lengthen, he grows a pink mat of hair between his ears, his jeans become torn short-shorts, he bears a long red scarf, and he wears a golden earring on his right ear. This form is a lot more agile, flexible, and overall faster than any other. This form also has a special feature: an elastic and size-changing... erm... wing-wang. Yeah, his penis can grow and stretch to enormous sizes to throw around/smack his enemies. And don't try cutting it off, either. One Brawler tried that once, and the disembodied segment ended up burrowing up his bunghole. When this form is drawn, there is never an actual penis shown. It's represented by a black censor box with a random penis pun printed on it (Wing Ding, Diddle-Dong, One-Eyed Snake, etc.). Balto-Boy is, naturally, a flaming pervert of a homosexual in this form, and often uses phrases such as "doll-face", "honey", and "Ain't no thang but a chikin' wang!". Fabulous Balto shoots pink auras out of his glove.

Demonic Balto: A form made from Balto-Boy's dark side. He has darkened fur, horn-shaped ears, glowing red eyes, fangs, black jeans, giant bat wings, and thorns growing out of his arms. Demonic Balto has no sympathy towards anything at all. He doesn't really care how the other guy feels. If he wants it dead, he'll kill it as brutally as he possibly can. Along with the obvious flight abilities, Demonic Balto also has night vision. In this form, Balto-Boy hardly ever sides with the good side unless there's some physical reward in it for him. It's actually a fairly common form for two reasons: it's easy for Balto-Boy to morph into and it helps Balto-Boy fight as hard as possible. Demonic Balto shoots out blood-red auras.

Uber-Pissed Balto: Balto-Boy's anger made into an aura form. In this form, Balto-Boy's fur becomes ragged, his muscles stretch to bulking sizes, his mouth constantly foams, and his eyes are literally a pair fireballs. This form is the strongest of the bunch as far as muscle power. Uber-Pissed Balto's fur is also resistant to all projectiles. In this form, Balto-Boy looses the majority of his sensibility and common sense, too angry to see it, really. He also uses the word "bitch" a lot. He's used it about five times in a single sentence once. Uber-Pissed Balto uses his strength to brutally maul his opponents while screaming profanities. He just about never uses his glove, but if he did, Uber-Pissed Balto would shoot out auras that resembled flames.

Angelic Balto: Balto-Boy's form made from his good side. He has lighter fur, his jeans are replaced with gray rags around his waist, his ears become droopy and floppy, he gains a second aura glove on his left hand, he sprouts large angel wings, and he always wears a :3 face. Angelic Balto is a hardcore Christian, often times praising God or quoting scripture in the middle of a fight. Not only that, but he is most definitely the most powerful of Balto-Boy's achieved forms. Not only because of the second aura glove, but also because Angelic Balto has supersonic flight, is much much more aware of his surroundings, and can even read people very well. He only sides with the side of good, proclaiming how that's what God would want. Unfortunately, Angelic Balto is a very difficult form for Balto-Boy to morph into, often times having to take a handful of minutes to strain at the process. Typically, you can tell Balto-Boy is transforming into Angelic Balto when his veins bulge from his neck and tiny wing buds are sprouting from his shoulder blades. Angelic Balto's aura blasts are baby blue in color.

Ghost Balto: Balto-Boy after he died while wearing his glove. This has indeed happened before. Ghost Balto is a light blue apparition that can possess anything that he can get to. He is much like the original Balto-Boy, but his powers are much weaker against the living. He'll roam around until he can find himself a functioning body, where he takes control to continue the battle. Ghost Balto can also apparently regrow a body himself if he experiences very strong emotion, as can be seen in Balto-Boy's grudge match with Blue the Sheepshifter. Ghost Balto's auras are a deep blue color.

BaltOmega: Balto-Boy's utimate form. It's appears when Balto-Boy activates every single form he has at once. Whether or not it's because there are undiscovered forms or it's a matter of willpower, Balto-Boy doesn't know how to morph into BaltOmega. Assuming he could, BaltOmega is basically every single form crammed together, sharing characteristics of their appearances and sharing every single form's ability.

Backstory

As long as he could remember, Balto-Boy lived in a section of woods in the heart of Indiana as an orphan. He lived the life of all of the creatures in the woods: foraging for food, hiding from random hikers, and the like. Supposedly, his older friends were the ones that had raised Balto-Boy from childhood to his teenage years. Balto-Boy was about 11 years old when he found a pair of discarded jeans in the woods, which he absolutely loved. The animals frowned upon carrying such an item, but Balto-Boy loved the garment too much to really care. One day, Balto-Boy emerged from his cave home when he saw a light shimmering down from the canopy. Directly in its beam, there hung a golden glove that dangled from the wrist. After failed attempts to climb the tree, Balto-Boy managed to knock the glove out of the tree by throwing Sticky at it. Another cool garment he was fond of, and not any more than that. In due time, however, and after various events, Balto-Boy discovered the true power of the glove and learned to master it on his own. And he did this by terrorizing nearby cities with frights. For fun. From televised news casts and the like, the U.S. government eventually tracked down Balto-Boy to his home. He put up a decent fight, but was ultimately captured and taken to a scientific facility named "Factory Outpost #2012". There, he was experimented on, and he was used in experiments on the genetic and mechanical experiments the Outpost created (usually for combat purposes). His glove was confiscated and examined, as well. This imprisonment is how Balto-Boy met his bitter rival, Chippy. During the time, Balto-Boy was placed in a cell next to a doomed genetic "failure" named AppleCore, who was scheduled for euthanasion. The two managed to conjure an escape plan despite AppleCore's communication difficulties. The two broke free of the facility, managed to regain Balto-Boy's glove, and ran off as far as they could. The first stop was back to Balto-Boy's home. But Balto-Boy grieved when he saw that the entire field had burnt down. The two then departed and went their separate ways. In his ventures for a new home, Balto-Boy found the entrance to the World of Brawl. There he battled alongside the odd people that resided there in a fun-filled slugfest. After the events caused by Ron, and once the World of Brawl rebuilt itself, Balto-Boy found himself in the seat as the Ruler & Commander of the Brawlers.
