For Those Marketers Who Are New To Wikis

A wiki page is neither just a simple text notepad nor a space where a document can be cut and pasted and to appear as WYSIWYG..Wiki pages have a simplified editing language attached to them that allows reasonable editing to make wiki pages more readable.

Wiki pages are pages with a text box containing wikitext: the editable source code from which the server produces the webpage. Most wiki contributors quickly type up entries with minimal formatting and contribute ideas with a minimum of formatting. These entries can be jazzed up to some extent using wikitext markup language - a guide can be found at the Help, Editing Page in Wikipedia at [1].
