  • Lee Valley CP - Fishers Green: 3 Cuckoo, Grasshopper Warbler, Whitethroat, 12 Common Tern, 2 Egyptian Geese, Redshank (Ian Rose).
  • London Wetland Centre: Honey Buzzard SW at 11.35hrs (Birdguides). Also: 2 Hobby North, 1 Green Sand, 3 Common Sand, 1 Dunlin, 2 Avocet, 1 Whinchat, 1 Wheatear and 1 Lesser Whitethroat.
  • Regent's Park: Honey Buzzard SW at 10.39 (Birdguides).
  • King George V Reservoirs: 50+ Arctic Terns north by 9am (Phil Vines) 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, Greenshank, 4 Wheatear (David Bradnum)
  • Wormwood Scrubs: 1 Cuckoo, a Willow Warbler singing a variant song with Chiffchaff notes and c350 Carrion Crow. (David Lindo)
  • Staines Res: 45+ Arctic Terns at 8.15am, also 3 Common Scoter (Ken Purdey).
  • Bedfont Lakes Country Park: 3 Egyptian Geese, 10 Common Whitethroats, 1 Yellow Wag over, 1 singing Garden Warbler (Adam Cheeseman)
  • Brent Res: 4 Yellow Wagtails & 2 Common Sands (Andrew Self & Roy Beddard).
  • Walthamstow Res: 3 in am / 5 in pm White Wagtails (+ 8 Pieds), 1 in am / 3 in pm Greenland Wheatears, 3 Wheatears, 2 Common Sandpipers, fem am / male pm Sparrowhawk, 18 Common Terns, 132+ Sand Martins, 256+ Swifts, 2 Swallows, House Martin, many Whitethroats, Sedge and Reed Warblers. 1830 pm Great White Egret over High Maynard and south - seemed to land around No5/No3, but could not be refound (David Callahan).

  • Kensington Gardens: 1 singing Garden Warbler near Peter Pan (Des McKenzie).
  • Camley Street Natural Park: 1 singing Reed Warbler, 1 singing Reed Bunting (Tom Clarke).

  • Queen Elizabeth II/Walton Reservoirs: 2 Whimbrel and 1 Bar-wit early am. Eventually settled on the Walton causway. Also 3 Yellow Wags and 1 fm Goosander still (Dave Harris).

  • Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens: 1 Wheatear, 1 Sedge Warbler singing near Peter Pan at 08.00hrs and 6 Pied Wagtail (Geoff Hawthorn).
  • Streatham Common: still 1 male Ring Ouzel all morning, 1 female Redstart at noon (Peter Newmark).

  • Rainham Marshes RSPB: female Marsh Harrier for the 2nd day; view only from the Ferry Lane End. (Birdguides).
  • Beckenham Place Park: Little Egret around for approximately 1 hour (River Ravensbourne), 2 Chiffchaff singing, male Blackcap singing, Red-legged Partridge still resident. Good numbers of G.S Woodpecker (K.J.Summerfield).
  • Rainham Gravel Pits: Hawfinch @ 10.10am going South also Green Sandpiper (Dave Morrison).
  • Tyttenhanger GPs: Mealy Redpoll on the river, 100m downstream of the pylon (Birdguides).
  • Mercers CP: 1st-winter Little Gull on the main boating lake (Birdguides).
  • Kelsey Park, Beckenham : 4 Sand Martin over Top lake & Sparrowhawk (Ernie Thomason).

  • London Wetland Centre: 3 Swallows, several House Martin, c.30 Sand Martin (incl. some nest-building), 2 Kingfisher (excavating nest-hole), 16 Willow Warbler, 6 Chiffchaff, 4 Little Ringed Plover, 9 Redshank, 1♂ Pintail, 1♀ Sparrowhawk, 6 Redwing, several Water Rail, 1 Jack Snipe, 1♂ Wheatear, 6 Bar-headed Geese plus one Whitefront flying west high over Hammersmith at 10.05 (Martin Honey).
  • Totteridge Valley (evening): 7 Wheatears (2m, 5f - prob same 6 as yesterday plus new female); 17 Meadow Pipits, 2 Lapwings, 24 Redwings, 2 Fieldfares. (Ian Ellis)
  • Sevenoaks Wildfowl Reserve: Osprey flew west; also Little Ringed Plover, Little Egret, 6 Willow Warblers, 30 Sand Martins and 7 Lesser Redpolls (Birdguides).
  • Old Park Wood: 1 Common Sandpiper on pond in farm (Martin Sullivan).
  • Regents Park: 4 Sand Martins, 3 Siskins, 2 Meadow Pipits, 1 Chiffchaff, 3 Egyptian Geese, 1 White-fronted Goose and (6 Bar-headed Geese circled high over) (Tony Duckett).
  • Stoke Newington Reservoirs (west): Wheatear (m), 2 Sand Martin, 2 Green Sandpipers. (TeRNS); East Reservoir: 1 Swallow, 18 Sand Martins through plus 2 Grey Wagtail (Terry Townshend).
  • Brent Res: 4 Wheatears, Common Tern, 13 Sand Martins, 4 Chiffchaffs & Blackcap (Andrew Self & Ian Ellis).
  • Richmond Park: Common Redstart, also 2 Wheatears near Holly Lodge (Birdguides & Bob Snellgrove).
  • Beddington SF: Common Scoter (Birdguides).
  • Wormwood Scrubs: 2 female Wheatear, 1 Chiffchaff & 4 Mallard - 1st for the year!! (David Lindo).
  • Broadwater Lake: 2 1w Little Gulls at the north end of the lake, also 3 Sand Martin & 2 Common Buzzard (Simon Buckingham).
  • Kelsey Park,Beckenham: Grey Heron 23 nests with 32 Young, Male Sparrowhawk circling above park, 1 Chiffchaff in shrubs on alloment next to park (Ernie Thomason).
  • South Norwood Country Park: 1 Swallow feeding above Lake at 19:00hrs (Ernie Thomason).
  • Bow Creek / East India Dock Basin: 2 pairs of Shelduck and 2 pairs of Teal (Nick Tanner).
  • Horsenden Hill/Perivale Wood: Chiffchaff (9), Willow Warbler (2), Blackcap (2), Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (1), Wheatear (1; Martin Smith). (Andy Culshaw)
