Once done at the beginning of every month, painting the cafe is a far less regular occurrence nowadays, probably because of the fumes involved. The cafe's original colour was pink, and the very first colour that it was changed to was white. The second was purple, but this did not last very long as it also included various other modifications to the cafe, such as astro-turf flooring, that made nobody happy.
The only scheduled paintings are in December, to coincide with Christmas. In 2004 it was red and gold, 2005 green and white, 2006 blue and silver; these were all planned out way back in 2004.
