National Socialist Party (NSP), known locally in the native language as the HER FETE NASCIONAAL SZOZIALIST (FNS), is the ruling party of the Nationalist Republic of KARISTAN and the only legal political party in the country. It was founded in 2340 by AINULF GRABIER as a workers union during the years between 2340 and 2350 it had recruited over 50,000 members and became the largest popular organization in the country. Back then most of its members are workers who are working in government companies. However, after AINULF's death a new person succeeded him, during this time the union began shifting from a workers union into a political party and started to admit the capitalists and industrialist into it. This event was widely criticized by the moderate factions of the party but this was eventually stopped by the radical faction. The party grow more powerful and began to forget their true objective of providing the workers voice in the government. As more industrialists and capitalists became more powerful in the party, the party shifted its goal towards protecting the industrial giants. The party soon lose the support of the workers, but the party's industrialist supporters grow they became more powerful than ever before. The LEEDEN OP VOLKSREGERING, the prime compitator for power in the government by the FNS, slowly began to lose their prestige as most of their members transferred their allegiance to the FNS. A fullscale armed conflict was began by the two political parties, the state military was torn apart. The result of the civil war includes the execution of high ranking members of the LOV and the seizing of power by the FNS. Several years following their rise to power, the National Socialist Party started a campaign of expelling and persecuting the Djarvenian population because of their support to the LOV. This expulsions and persecutions expanded to include anyone who violates and disobeys the rules and laws of the party. Many people were jailed as political prisoners and many others had been executed when the failed to obey the party. High ranking military members who were allegedly known as supporters of the LOV were removed and many others were executed. This event had been criticized by the international community but the FNS has not taken any action to this address this incidents. The Karistani government under the National Socialist Party is currently engaging in the western frontier borders against the SMAUGIN military. The conflict is over a parsel of land which both countries claimed. The KARISTANI troops had conquered a small village in the border and is planning to conquer more of the country, SMAUGIN military although smaller in number is still holding up to stop the invasion. SMAUG developed a new series of aircrafts similar to the KARISTANI aircraft prototype model. Unlike the KARISTAN military, SMAUG now has several units of aircraft codenamed DIEVER and a specialized unit established solely for the purpose of operating the said aircraft. The current Hoofd, the leader of the National Socialist Party and the de facto head of state and head of government of KARISTAN is, HOOFD VIER VON TAULGEEN. Von Taulgeen is a former soldier, extremely idealistic, superstitious, and cruel man. He was appointed HOOFD by the National Parliament in 2374 after serving as a member of it for over 13 years already.
