"You Too" U-2 planes flying high over Poland are mysteriously disappearing, without any signs of attack or anti-aircraft fire. Days later, the same U-2s are landing in Canada, their pilots wholly intact...physically. Suspicion of brainwashing soon arises, and Thompson Colton is sent to interrogate them. He soon unearths a large conspiracy, and must hunt down the culprits. 0011 manages to track and destroy their local base, but knows he can't touch the real commanders... 009 & 010

Thompson Colton attempts to track the missile, and the path takes him thorough many a country and through three continents, leading him - to all places - Zangmurid again, where he learns that it will be used in another attempt at revolution. Despite sympathizing with the rebels, he stops a second Zangmuridi rebellion. 011 & 012

Attacking the Mask, Colton discovers that the agent of terror is merely a pawn of a larger force. 013 & 014

While trying to get the device, 0011 is struck from behind and informed that "you'll be the first to be killed by Maekguyvin - at ten yards!" by (now) Colonel Bushkov. Colton escapes and retrieves the device. Later meeting the Soviet representative, General Vizor, instead of giving the device to the Russian, Colton throws the device off a cliff, telling Vizor: "That's détente, comrade. You don't have it, I don't have it.""
068
"A Winter Night's Death" Lord Wilkinson, an member of the Bothwellhaugh aristocracy, is dead. A local actress, Jane Edgware, whom he was engaged to, is accused of murdering him. The details of the case seem to be that Jane killed Wilkinson to get out of a forced marraige. However, there's a problem - she was seen at a bar-house at the time of the kill. When 0011 investigates, he comes up with several theories, but witnessess in turn refute them. "A Time of Reflection - A Time for Fear" This episode reads like a mission report, going over some of Thompson Colton's finest missions, his most feared enemies, and his loyal allies. The episodes from which the segments were chosen were picked by an on-line vote. Other things the episode covers are his one-off girlfriend, Marga Zelle, Thompson Colton's past, and the bios of some other characters. The episode ends with 0011 closing the report, shelving it, and going to C's office, more likely than not to be assigned for his next escapade. 076, 077

Episode title Synopsis Episode no.
"Destination Crab Key"The first special related to the Bond films. In deepest Kingston, 009 has been found murdered in the estate of John Strangways. 009's mission was to protect the daughter of the late rich Jamaican couple, Mr. Chester and Mrs. Caroline Bolton from a "Mr. Heinrik", an aggressive "property manager". 0011 is sent to protect her by killing Mr. Heinrik. However, as he plans to snipe him, he finds Ms Judy Bolton ready to kill him with a bow and arrow. However, she misses, and a gunfight ensues, with her getting injured. Colton takes her to her family home, where he uses some limited medical expertise to heal her. 0011 spends the night at the Bolton estate, and awakes to find goons making off with large canisters. The next morning, he questions Judy on the true nature of the Bolton business, and it is revealed that they dealt in heavy water. Colton asks her where the gunboat would be heading.
Crab Key is singled out by Judy. A dangerous boat ride ensues, and they crash on the shore of Crab Key. They are captured, and arrive in a private estate. Heinrik informs them that they are now prisoner of a certain "Doctor Bu", a rouge scientist. Colton is led to a cell, while Heinrik takes Judy along with him. Concerned with Judy's safety, Colton breaks out of his cell, destroys the heavy water and is about to enter Heinrik's office when he hears a gunshot. It is revealed that Judy Bolton has shot Heinrik. The two escape, with Colton commandeering a gunboat. Once safe, Colton calls in to Jamaica, informing them that he will report in with "big news" in an hour. Looking up at Judy, he postpones the report to two hours.

"Destination Istanbul"The second special, and the Season II intro. A Turkish agent, Gharib Ekaitz, of S.C.E.P.T.E.R intends to destroy necessary documents as he intends to move his base of operations. To achieve such an end, he sends his cronies to stage a false break-in and arson in the cover building, a hospital. M.I.3 gets wind of the plot, and sends 0011 to foil the plot. In his infiltration of the hospital, he meets the chief nurse Semele Mykhalya, who he gives hints of the plan to, to prepare the hospital for a mass evacuation. However, Ekaitz overhears their conversation, and that night, his two henchmen attack Mykhalya (it is strongly implied, but not shown that rape is intended), but are beaten off in due course by Colton.
Mykhalya blames Colton for her plight, nonetheless. The following night, though, the plan goes into action, and the hospital is set alight. Amid the flames, Mykhalya coordinates the evacuation while Colton fights Ekaitz and his goons in the blazing inferno. While his henchmen are dispatched, Ekaitz escapes in a getaway car. Some scraps of paper remain unburnt, and reveal the next base of operations: Türbedere. 0011 tracks Ekaitz to the city, and fights him in his new base, revealed to have many a booby-trap for unwanted guest. At long last, Colton triumphs despite serious injuries, and he manages to stumble out. An ambulance, driven by Mykhalya, arrives on the scene. Colton grins as he recognizes her, and they enter the ambulance, closing the doors behind them.
021, 022, 023
"Destination Fort Knox"The third special, and the Season II finale. An exquisite piece of history, a solid bar of Nazi gold, is to be auctioned in Miami. Though its historical value is immense, its contents are even more valuable: one sheet of nickel-steel, engraved with an important chemical formula for a weapon of incredible power. 0011 is sent, with £500,000 in tow, to buy the gold, and also to expose an agent of S.C.E.P.T.R.E, Edvard Pierce also intending to retrieve the formula. Colton first meets the Edvard in a "friendly" game of blackjack in a local casino. During the course of the auction for the gold, dagger-stares are exchanged as the stakes go higher and higher. Colton eventually wins with an awesome bid of £362,880 to his opponents' £333,667. 0011 expediently sends the gold bar for analysis to Sykes Fairbanks in Kentucky.
However, en route to the airport for the trip back home, a mysterious car slams into Colton's Ford Crown Victoria, and 0011 blacks out. When he awakes, he is questioned repeatedly on the location of the gold bar, and he finally admits that it has been hidden in Fort Knox, among hundreds of other gold bars. After the S.C.E.P.T.R.E agent leaves, Colton fights his way out of the abandoned warehouse in which he's being imprisoned. Colton quickly goes to Fort Knox, to find Pierce holding Fairbanks at gunpoint, forcing him to identify the gold bar's location. 0011 frees Fairbanks, and enters a dangerous game of cat-and mouse with the agent. After a tense conflict, 0011 kills Edvard, and leaves for England after thanking Sykes.
038, 039, 040
"Destination Disco Volante" The fourth special and Season III opener. Thompson Colton heads for southern Italy, where he is to meet up with a OSS contact Empedocles Nereus, a trusted ally of the Office of Special Services, though at times on the incorrect side of the law. There, he learns that the crime mogul Bogomil Caboto is to carry out a big uranium smuggling on the yacht Disco Volante. Nereus rambles on about Caboto's evils, describing his many drug and prostitution operations in vivid detail. During the conversation, Colton is spotted by Caboto's thugs, and he is pursued thorugh the streets of Naples after leaving the diner. 0011 stumbles on the bow of aboat, and is surrounded by goons. As he prepares to attack, he is knocked out from behind by Caboto himself. Colton awakens to find himself on the Ovni, Caboto's ship. When Bogomil enters 0011's room, Colton pins him down and questions him on his crimes and planned uranium smuggling.
Caboto laughs at 0011's accusations, saying that Nereus was describing himself, and that Caboto himself has only ever smuggled cigars ,wine and small weapons. Bogomil goes on to introduce his niece, Lynette. When the Disco Volante is mentioned, Caboto's jolly mood disappears, and he informs 0011 that Nereus intends to frame him by smuggling the uranium on the Volante, Caboto's secondary ship, which is on sale. Colton begrudgingly agrees to help Bogomil stay off Nereus's thugs. During the assault, Nereus knocks out Caboto and prepares to kill 0011 when Lynette harpoons Nereus from behind. Emerging from the boat, Colton learns from Luke Hereward, head of Station I, that the ship has already been sold to a mysterious "Henrico Lento", a one-eyed millionaire. Colton shrugs the news off, and prepares to fully thank Lynette for her help.
041, 042 and 043
"Destination Kobe"The fifth special, and the Season III ending. NASA reports mysterious audio and radio sightings of intermediate range missiles, being fired near the Sea of Japan. Thompson Colton is on another mission (coincidentally) in Japan, to outcheat the CEO of a weapons company, Peter Franques, who was reportedly cheating at many a bridge game. Colton wins £25,000 off Franques, but is attacked by three of his thugs in a dark alley. Fighting them off, Colton discovers some coordinate charts, some of which coincide with the missile sightings. Reporting this to C, 0011 is given clearance to investigate the Franques compound. However, upon infiltrating, Colton is assaulted by ninjas, and old friends, Hu Lijing and his alluring lieutenant, Bai Shebuo help him defeat them. Upon finding the S.C.E.P.T.E.R. insignia on the ninja's suits, Colton smells a rat.
At the window of Franques' estate, 0011 is shocked when the Peter Franques he played against was an impostor working for the aforementioned evil syndicate and the real Peter is more a victim of his own phobias than he is of S.C.E.P.T.E.R. After some investigation, Colton surmises that "Franques" is commissioning missiles for SCEPTER under a legitimate cover of his defence agency. Colton and Lijing follow the fake Franques to a secret underground base in the Sea of Japan, where Lijing and his militia storm the compound while Colton heads for the "boss", the Comte du Bleuchamp (evidently Ernst Stavro Blofeld, although his name is never mentioned.) Despite their efforts, a missile headed for London is launched successfully, and Colton and Shebuo give chase in a Hawker Hayley (courtesy of Station J). They destroy the warhead, but the plane is ruined. Both eject from their planes, and the pair are found in Southern Japan under Colton's parachute.
058, 059 & 060
"Destination Las Vegas"The sixth special, and the Season IV intro. In the south of the United States058, 059 & 060

Notes

Although the "specials" are intended to resemble the first seven James Bond films (the exception being On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which was converted into a full-length animated feature) in order, the largest resemblance is usually at most the location. To wit:

  • Much of Destination Crab Key is taken from the story For Your Eyes Only. Nevertheless, the heavy water, boat ride, Crab Key and "Doctor Bu" (不 [bù] meaning "No" in chinese) are from Doctor No.
  • Destination Istanbul's plot is more reminiscent of The Spy who Loved Me than From Russia with Love.
  • Destination Fort Knox is more based on The Property of a Lady with an original climax, but the element of Nazi gold is from the film Goldfinger or perhaps Octopussy. The questioning sequences are a frequent tenure in the James Bond books.
  • Besides the eponymous ship, Destination Disco Volante is largely based on Risico and not Thunderball.
  • Destination Kobe has many influences: The plot to outcheat the cheater is taken from Moonraker the novel, whilst the ninja elements and the climatic assault on the S.C.E.P.T.E.R. base are from You Only Live Twice, and the use of an impostor to replace a phobia-stricken multi-millionare businessman is from Diamonds are Forever.
