Troubleshooting

The game won't start!

Occasionally, some people have trouble playing Out Of Order whereby the game will not start. The reason for this is due to a FMOD.DLL file Out Of Order uses to play it's sounds on. When the game is installed, the game attempts to install the FMOD.DLL version 3.6.0.0 file into the WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 folder on your hard drive. However, if a more recent FMOD.DLL version has been installed, then this will not be installed. Out Of Order only works with this particular version, and so the game will no longer work if this is present.

The solution to this is to download the correct version of the file here and place it into the folder where Out Of Order is installed onto your hard drive. The game will then detect this file and so use it instead. Do not override the newer FMOD.DLL in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM32 folder, as this may cause other programs to function incorrectly.
