last weekend was the first day of filming. i interviewed the president of the FNQSBTSOG. i also got some other footage of other stuff cause it was the lure day races for staffies. EW
I did some more filming today. i interviewed a owner of a staffy EW
5-11-06 today i got even more footage. my assignment is goin well, but i haven't done much editing. EW
9-11-06 today i imported my footage i got on the weekend and did some editing EW
10-11-06 im now past 45 sec of editing. i did most of this today EW
14-10-06 today i nearly finished editing up to 1 minute 30. i had to fix the begining as well, and i made a booking for using the computer this saturday to finish my 'section'. feelin good about how much work i have done at the moment. EW
16-11-06 today i finished my first couplea seconds with m intro and did some more of the interviews with alison, i'm now up to about a minute 45 and am feeling good how much i've done.
17-11-06 today is a saturday and i spent all morning from about 10 to 12.30 working on my doco. I finished it and is ready for mr weston to check it.EW
21-11-06 today my work was checked by the teacher, then i fixed the stuff he said to fix. all i need to do now is to finish the last point he said i should fix. other then that my work is finished EW
23-11-06today i finished my doco, i then exported it and made it a mov file EW
28-11-06 yesterday we had to hand our assignments in. today we had to cretique to. i gave myself an A-. The program that i was making my segment for as A Current Affair. I believe i was sucessful at making a segment for this program, three reason for this are that i reached the target demographic, i applied the themes of ACA, and set a good tone. The Tone that i was trying o set in my piece was that staffies are cool and not agressive. I believe i was succesfull at making this tone because i showed a lot of happy staffies as well as there owners who think that staffies shouldn't be banned in Australia.
The point i'm trying to make in my segment is that staffies are happy dogs that would never want to attack humans. Four successful aspects of my segment is the good camera set-up, good sound, not to boring, i reached the target demographic and it gets the message across.
I could have improved my segment by putting more stuff on top of the interviews (so you don't just see the one person talking the whole time) as well as mixing them up more. My segment concluded with everyone saying that staffies shouldn't be banned. I believe this was a succesfull ending because it told thee audience they shouldn't ban them.
Some problem that i encountered during film was backgrround noise and light. The audience would have enjoed my segment if they knew nothing about dogs, or if they own a staffy. They wont like it iif they think staffies should be banned.
