Thames Ditton Congregational Church
From Dittopedia
Thames Ditton Congregational Church was built by Jacob Hansler -- of Hansler House, later called the Old Red House -- in 1804 as Weston Green Chapel, at his own expense. In the next decade, a minister was appointed, the Rev James Churchill, who drew large congregations from a wide area He even started a small school and Sunday school. [1]
In 1899, a new church was built there through the efforts of Rev Walter Greig. Relations with St Nicholas were always friendly, even when this wasn't generally the case in England.[1]
