The Old Slaughter House * (K)

The Old Slaughter House was originally built in about 1580 as a truncated version of a 'queen post' barn, then turned into a slaughter house at the end of the 19th century for Mr Richard Porter, who kept a herd of deer in the local fields. He exported venison and had a shop opposite the slaughter house.
