- The Harrow was a meeting place for the vigilantes of 1792.
- From 1782 to 1793, vestry meetings of St Nicholas Church, Thames Ditton, were held at the Swan, the Crown, the Lamb and Star, the Harrow, the Angel, the Granby, the George and the Red Lion.
- The Angel derives its name from an ancient English gold coin. [1]
