Cuthbert Blakeden (died 1540) was sarjant of the confectionary to King Henry VIII. Blakeden was granted a 30-year lease of the Manor of Claygate, later assigned to his wife. He married Julian Boothe, by whom he had six children. There is a brass to him (and John Boothe) put up in St Nicholas Church, Thames Ditton, in 1580 by Julian Boothe. [1]
