Rytumyo, the Dragon God was the divine essence held within the dragon egg at the centre of the Dragon God Shrine. Protecting the kingdom during his incubation, the Dragon God created the Dragon Shards to guard the Godai Kingdom and himself. Attacked during his hatching, Rytumyo was saved by Yusaku and Ermenus from Terlin's forces.
