Welcome to TheWiki

Welcome to TheWiki, the English version of DasWiki. This here is the main page. This page you cannot edit. We hope you find what you wanted to find here.

But pleaser remember: TheWiki is not completed in the whole but it will be done in a few weeks.

What's that?

TheWiki is a free enciklopedia for everyone so everyone can read textes here and can log in to edit and create textes here. You can sign up and log in if when you click at the right button over the articel bar or you can do it when you click at the subject "Log in" under "account" at the navigation bar. After you signed up you can edit texts and so on... If you want to put in pictures or files you have to preferm your activation e-mail we sent to you.

How to use

At first you shoult log in or create an account if you did not do it before. After you prefermed your e-mail you can start with an own articel at TheWiki. Please do not forget to personilize your account when you edit your User Page and you References at the User Bar over the articel bar. Here you see all your personal sites at TheWiki. Here you can also log out and edit your watchlist. Now look at the left side of this web page: you see a link bar - the navigation bar. Here you find everything you need to find something. The most important pages are linked here, for the others there is a search box under the languages.

Other optional things to do

• Control the rights of anonymous and logged in users through the Control Panel (which can be found in the toolbox on the left side of this page).
• Add the url for your wiki to the Categorized wiki list. Simply edit that page and put your wiki under the appropriate category.
• To increase the amount of space you have for uploads, add links to http://editthis.info from external sites, and go to the Link Quota Page to increase your uploads quota.
• Edit MediaWiki:Sidebar to change the navigation menu
• Add this wiki to some external wiki indexes:

1. Wikipedia list of wikis
2. WikiIndex
   

• If you are feeling adventurous and know a little about web design you can edit the javascript and css to the Header to change the look of your wiki.
  • You must log as admin to do this
  • Whatever you enter in this page will be added to the html in the header after the standard style sheet, so you can override styles.
• Read the User's Guide for other usage and configuration help.
• Add your wiki to the map of wikis
• Add a message to the Feedback Page if you see anything that could be improved.
