Analysis

An analysis parallels the characteristics of an animal to those of a human to show what a certain settled form might represent. Analyses serve as guidelines for finding a settled form. They don't have to fit 100%, however, as animal traits can be interpreted many different ways by many different people.

A variation is the reverse analysis.
