Worst mexican ever.
Lauren is the creator and primary artist for the CTHS Comic.

Lauren Baker is an Autobot ally here on Earth. She is something of a jack-of-all-trades, and her various useless functions include drawing, cosplay, plotting, cooking, and having a depressingly developed interest in physics and astronomy. She has little to no respect for authority, though she does have respect for respect. Her favorite, favorite, favorite Autobot is Hound.

History

Lo grew up like any other pathetic squishy on this rock. Being born and raised in Los Angeles, California turned her into the assertive asshole she is today, and attending the LA County High School for the Arts didn't help in that regard either. After being accepted into Manhattan's School of Visual Arts, however, her life as a humble art student was never to be the same.

One day while back home in LA, a foot of enormous proportions had found itself attempting to occupy the same space as her house. That didn't go over very well, and the house conceded defeat shortly after being challenged. "MY N64's!" she exclaimed, watching as another foot came to settle on the entertainment center. She'd heard of this sort of thing happening before, but had assumed that it was something that always happened to "someone else". Not wishing to share the same fate as her beloved console systems, the human ran outside to watch the spectacle.

Two towering figures had chosen her block to carry out a fistfight, it seemed. Transformers? It had to be. It was the only way she could explain them having jet bits incorporated onto their persons, at any rate. Lo noted that one of them was nearly all white while the other was black and purple. Punch after punch was thrown from one to the other, accompanied by the grinding of gears, the groaning of metal, and the near-deafening snorts of afterburners.

She demanded to know what was going on in that thread. The two robots stopped fighting to look her way while the white one had his opponent in the middle of a pretty good headlock. The darker one tried to use this opportunity to wrestle himself out of his painful position, but the white one held fast.

The black and purple one snarled an insult before heaving his elbow into the white one's chest, cracking what appeared to be a cockpit canopy. He let out a cry of pain, and his foe used this moment to make his getaway, transforming into a jet and flying off with a rather painful roar. Lo was knocked to the ground and was left with buzzing in her ears.

The remaining robot squatted down to shamefully apologize for the leveling of her home. Lauren asked him to repeat what he said due to the temporary tinnitis. He obliged and spoke louder. She accepted his apology under the condition that her archaic consoles be replaced and that she get a tour of his HQ. With a sigh, he complied, and the two of them flew to rural Oregon.

A typical day at the Ark.
Realizing that she had no place to live, the squishy invited herself to stay at the Ark until someone rebuilt her house. She met Spike and Sparkplug and the rest of the mechanical crew, and decided that it wasn't so bad living with a bunch guys. She'd done it before anyways. Lo befriended many crewmembers in the following weeks, and was freakishly successful in her attempts to stalk the Jeep-bot. They, too, became fast friends somehow.

One day, though, Decepticons attacked the Ark. It was a fierce battle, and Lo helped by finding a corner and staying there for the duration of the fight. Fortunately, the Autobots were successful in fending off their attackers, and she met another human, Erik Morton, who'd somehow been involved in the fight and saved by the white jet who she'd come to know as Skyfire.

The three of them started to hang out, and the two humans learned that Skyfire was in fact a rather lonely mech. Despite being Air Commander, no one really listened to him, and it didn't help that the only other mech he had authority over was Powerglide, and the Aerialbots were a bunch of frat boys who didn't follow orders anyway. Feeling kinda sorta bad for the big guy, the two art students would find themselves listening to Skyfire's humble tales of his early years on Cybertron and the shenanigans that resulted due to his close friendship with Starscream. Though hesitant to actually pay attention in the beginning, Lo and Erik quickly discovered that the unassuming scientist-turned-soldier led an incredibly full life full of adventure, and that his story needed to be shared with the world somehow.

And thus CTHS was born.
