In what era would you like to start your life of crime and punishment?
(The era/mafia you choose will also dictate the general region of the USA the story will be set in, as well as other variables specific to that era, area, and criminal empire.)
PLEASE NOTE: While the era/location should remain relatively set as you craft your stories, don't feel compelled to keep story details accurate according to recorded history. The era descriptors (Capone, Godfather, Scarface, Miami Vice, 24) are merely examples of the style and flavor of the stories to be told, though they do offer a decent 'base universe' to launch each storyline. If you have other examples of related Good Guys or Bad Guys from any era, feel free to incorporate those ideas into your stories.
Keep it fictional, make it fun, don't worry about strict historical accuracy, except as far as technology and weaponry and such. Don't have internet-porn rackets in the Roaring 20s, or drive Porsche 911 in the 50s.
