The year is 2000, and today is your twelfth birthday. After hours of parties, games and gift-giving, you are exhausted, so you go to bed. Just as you were about to sleep, you feel that something is hidden under your pillow. You grope under your pillow; you find a small box enveloped in a colorful wrapper. It is unmarked, but since it is your birthday, you assume that the gift must be for you.
"Must be a gift from Dad and Mom," you think to yourself. You unwrap the gift; it's a watch with a retro design. Still, though it looks outdated, you marvel at the beauty of its design. Yet, as you stare at the watch, a haunting feeling creeps on your back. You shake your head, trying to shrug off the uncomfortable feeling.
"I must just be imagining things," you tell yourself.
Yet the strange feeling doesn't leave you. Something seems terribly amiss. On the other hand, it could just be nothing. The watch does look very nice...
