Stand still, and demand to know what is going on!

From Create Your Own Story

You: Doctor, whoever you are, I demand to know what is going on! What are we running from?"

The Doctor lets go of your hand and looks at you. His eyes open wide in surprise of your audacity. He opens his mouth as if to speak, but closes it as if unsure what to say. He looks at the door you were heading towards and back at you before finally speaking.

The Doctor: You understand this is a matter of life and death?

You: Of course! That's why I demand to know what is coming to kill us.

The Doctor: Well, it's actually a bit complicated--Why are you so adamant about knowing? I mean, they are coming RIGHT NOW, so if we could have this discussion in a less...vulnerable area, yes?

You groan and concede. You follow the Doctor into the hallway, where you're confronted by laser blasts! They narrowly miss both of you as you scurry away from the source of the blasts. The Doctor quickly lunges into a vacant room and pulls you inside. As you catch your breath, the Doctor closes the door as a long shadow passes the door. The window is frosted glass, so no silhouette was discernible. It seemed like there were more than a few of them as they passed by, thankfully not alerted to your presence. After the shadows are gone, something grabs your shoulder. You give a soft yelp of surprise before you realize it's the Doctor. He places his finger over his lips to shush you. He then turns you towards the center of the empty classroom, where there appeared to be a blue police box!

You: Why is there a police box inside this room? How did it get in here? the doors aren't large enough to accommodate something this large, and we would've heard someone building it.

The Doctor: Oh, but it only looks like a police box. It's a spaceship--MY spaceship, called the TARDIS. It used to have a cloaking device that camouflaged it no matter where or when I was, but it got stuck on this. Wanna look inside?

You step closer to it, and it sounded like there was some kind of humming coming from inside it. If it was indeed a spaceship, then this man would be an alien. Could he be trusted?

You: How do I know you won't probe me when we're inside?

The Doctor: Oh, I've studied humans for years! Probing would just be redundant, and what about all that mess? No, I won't probe you. Of course, I can't speak for the other planets we go to. Anyways, come on! Get inside!

You enter the small wooden box, but are taken aback when you find yourself suddenly in a large room, easily twice the size of the classroom you were just in! You rush back out to make sure you hadn't missed something, like a false wall or other trickery. Finding none, you stand agape at the marvelous sight before you. The Doctor pops his head out of the door and beckons you in with a wide grin.

The Doctor: Always fun to see people's reactions. Yes, it's bigger on the inside, but we really must be going. Oh! Hold that thought. I think I left something back in that classroom.

The Doctor rushed past you and began opening drawers and cabinets. He took out a long cylindrical object that mysteriously looked like a probe, and started pointing it at various items. The tip glowed and made the most peculiar buzzing noise. You'd thought it'd never stop, but when it did, the Doctor let out a loud "HA!" before lifting something out of the teacher's desk drawer. He brought it back in front of you and held it out so you both could see it.

You: What is it?

The Doctor: This is an energy source of some kind. What it's doing here, I haven't the faintest clue. They shouldn't need a power source like this unless they...

Suddenly, the classroom door bursts open and lasers once again start flying in your direction. You scramble to get inside the TARDIS, and the Doctor...
