You feel better. Melanie is safe for now, and if there's going to be an infection, it's not going to be right now. You have a little time to spare, and both you and Melanie are going to need clothing. Hell, even the other woman might be happy to have a change of clothes. Getting out of your rain soaked clothing would be great. Plus, you were dressed for bed, not an outting.
You pull into the "Fashionista Clothing Boutique," and remember then that it's mostly women's fashion. Oh well. It's going to have to do. You shut off the car, get your flashlight, and make your way through the rain to the front door. Surprisingly, it's not locked. You push it open slowly, wary that someone else might be inside.
To your delight, the store looks completely empty. You shut the door behind yourself, lock it, and flip on the light.
Unfortunately, you were wrong. There in front of you are two women, both wearing name tames, both with horrible boils on their face. They're stooped over the corpse of what must have been a large dog, and they're stabbing at it with scissors. They're so lost in their bloody doings that they don't notice you, or your light.
