Go to get something to eat

From Create Your Own Story

"Have lunch with me?" Sandy asks, as if you're going to say no.

"Sure. Where?"

"There's a diner around the corner. It's walking distance. I'll meet you there in quarter of an hour."

"It's a date."

"I hope your dates are treated to better establishments than that."

"If they're lucky," you lean across the counter again and kiss her.

You leave the office and wander around the corner. In front of you there's a diner, made up to resemble a traditional 50's eatery, resplendent with neon sign and bright red paintwork.

As you enter you're greeted by a polite young Caucasian waitress. She's dressed in a modern take on the traditional uniform. The short pink gingham dress with white sleeves and collar is cut much shorter than what would have been considered decent back then. As a bonus to the male patrons, the plunge of the neckline revealed a pleasing amount of cleavage. "Hello, my name's Jenna, I'll be your waitress today," she says in a completely non-traditional English accent, "Table for one, is it?.

"Hey. No, two please."

"No problem." As she guides you to a window seat you check out her subtly curved figure and toned legs.

You sit on a polished chrome stool with a red PVC clad seat at a tall round table.

"May I get you a drink?"

"Coffee. Black, please."

She takes a pad and pen from her white linen apron and scribbles the order, "I'll be right back." A broad smile fills her pretty face. As she walks quickly to the bar her brunette ponytail bounces as if dancing on her shoulder blades.

A phone rings. On tiptoes, she leans across the counter to answer it, revealing even more of her legs, and at one point, even a glimpse of buttocks. "Yes. Uh-hu, he's here. I'll tell him. Thank you."

She brings the mug of coffee to the table, placing it with a sharp clank on the metal surface. "I just had a call from the motel. Sandy says that her boss has been taken ill and she's not going to get a break."

You sigh and stare at your steaming black drink.

"Oh, sweetheart. Has she stood you up?" says Jenna.

"Well..."

She doesn't wait for an answer, "I'm due a break. We could keep each other company. What d'ya say?"
