You dive for the gun, out of breath and in pain, and Rodriguez makes her move too. You've got your hand around the butt just as she's got her hand around the barrel, and the two of you begin struggling to wrench the rifle free from the other. You both get to your feet and use all your weight. She's strong, but you're heavier, and it's a back and forth tug of war that ends up with both of you pushing and pulling around the room, knocking over the nightstand, a nearby chair, and toppling several photos and their glass frames from the wall.
Rodriguez plants her foot, and you can see the muscles tense in her other leg. She's either going to try and knee you, or she's going to try to use all her weight to shove you backwards and yank the rifle from your hands with the momentum. But which is it?
