Drive to the police station as planned

You don't wait around to hear opposing view points or get into much of a discussion. You burn off down the street, running over a couple of bodies on the way. You make a few turns and are on the way to the police station when you start to hear a buzzing that slowly but surely get louder than the rain. You can't figure out what it is, but Melanie turns and looks through the back window.
"A plane," she says calmly. "A PLANE!" She then screams. "GO GO GO GO!"
You put your foot down hard on the pedal and speed up as quick as you can. The noise grows so loud it's nearly deafening, and in your rear view you can see a giant passenger plane headed nose first to the road behind you. It impacts with a boom so loud it shakes your car, and pieces of the plane shatter everywhere on the road. It's wings are torn off by buildings at the roadside, and both the buildings and the wings explode in giant fireballs. The rest of the plane catches fire, but skids along after you so fast you're sure it'll catch you.
You swing the wheel hard right, turning off onto the lawn of a house nearby and drive up until you're almost on their front porch. You watch as the passenger tube of the plane skids farther down the road, and hear it impact a bus that was abandoned in the street. There's another explosion of metal and spark, and you cover your ears to shut out the noise.
"Oh my god," says Melanie, covering her mouth with her hand. "Should we do something?"
