Confront Jeyne

From Create Your Own Story

Bran knew just talking to Jeyne was the right thing to do. Maybe this was all just a big understanding! It wouldn't be right to spread rumors, especially since Bran shared her feelings (if they did in fact exist).

Making his way out of the Stark wing of the castle, Bran found Jeyne's room. Suddenly, he was struck with anxiety. He'd never really talked to Jeyne one-on-one. She was always hanging with Sansa, doing girlish things like sewing. Swallowing his nerves, he knocked on her door.

"Who is it?" She called out, practically singing the question.

"Bran," he replied, feeling foolish.

"Oh," she responded, sounding confused. "Hold on a minute."

After a few moments, the door swung open, revealing the dark-haired girl. She was wearing a beautiful dark blue nightgown with a grey sash. "Hello Bran, to what do I owe the pleasure." The words rolled off her lips so effortlessly, evidence of Septa Mordane's etiquette training.

"Hey Jeyne," Bran mumbled, trying his best not to look at his feet. "Can I talk to you for a minute. It's about Sansa."

"Oh, sure, sure," she said, opening the door wider. "Come in." He followed her into her bedroom, closing the door behind him. "Sorry if I sound surprised, it's just you've never knocked on my door before." She sat down on her bed,

"It's fine," Bran replied, standing awkwardly in the middle of the room.

"So, what's up with Sansa?" She asked, slipping into a more informal tone.

"Well, you know how Sansa lost her clothes today."

"Lost? More like Arya Horseface stole them!" Jeyne snorted, resorting to Arya's hated nickname. "She can be such a bitch sometimes.

If only you knew... "Well, it was me who found her in the godswood. I ran and got her dress for her."

"Oh, how nice of you," Jeyne giggled, smiling. "Her knight in shining armor!"

Now here comes the hard part. "So, when I went to get the dress, well..." Bran scratched the back of his head. "I scaled the walls to get to her room. And when I got to her room, well..." He took a deep breath. "I saw you in there. On her bed. With Sansa's smallclothes."

Bran could see her visibly turn pale, her eyes widening like saucers. She opened her mouth, but no words came out.

Bran hadn't thought this far ahead and didn't know what to say. He could confess his own love for Sansa, set her at ease. Or he could blackmail her, as this was a pretty damning secret.
