"Xuan," you say softly, "I'm not in the mood for ice cream. Would you object if we went to your house?"

Xuan blushes prettily. "We can do that, Daisy." She leads the way, and you two chatter en route. When you arrive after a shorter walk than you had anticipated, Xuan intoduces you to her mother.

"How nice," says her mom. "Xuan rarely brings home a friend. She's very quiet and studious."

"I've noticed," you reply. "She's also quite nice." Xuan smiles and the two of you head for her bedroom, where you blow through the homework and studying very quickly. Neither of you is exactly a dunce, and with two brains cooperating, you're able to easily learn everything you need to.

"What now?" Xuan asks, as she closes the last book. It's still only 5:00.

• Ask Xuan to sit on the bed with you
• Tell Xuan you'd like to take her to the lakeside. You can spread a blanket on the beach and eat from a picnic basket while you watch the sun slowly go down and eventually set
