The girl is sitting down by herself eating her sandwich when you show up and give her a wave.
"Hi," you say. "I've never seen you before. Are you a new student?"
She keeps eating her sandwich. "Hi. Yes, I am. Sorry, I'm a little awkward. Like I said, I'm new here and don't know my way around nor have that many friends."
