The man in white/Follow the first search party

The first search party consists of the fathers and their mother Joy. They rapidly descend the staircase to the rarely-used based to find their gear. Peter rolls out his state-of-the-art bicycle with dozens of gadgets attached. Joy opened a secret compartment in the wall and drew out a specialized D65 full spectrum light source, polarized glasses and a spectrometer. Kim flipped over the top of an old coffee table, revealing a three-dimensional map of the surrounding area. As Peter inflated his bike tires and Joy donned her gear, Kim triangulated the position of the man in white based on the stories of the girls and readings from the two satellite dishes on the house roof. When he had a good bearing on the most likely location - he passed the GPS coordinates to Peter, who mounted his bicycle. Joy (now fully loaded with her paraphenalia) jumped on Peter's back and declared "this is the day you've been training for! Now fly like the wind!"
Peter clipped his feet into his pedals and burst through the basement door. Pedaling faster than ever before, Peter rode the bike through the woods headed towards the location designated by Kim. Bumping over logs, rocks and the rolling landscape, Joy kept a keen eye out while shining her D65 over hill and dale. They neared the target location and Peter called out "we're getting close - are you seeing anything?"
Joy alternated between scanning the horizon and watching the spectrometer until she saw the greenish-yellow hue that is uniquely characteristic to the natural polyester nylon plant. "Stop!" She yelled, and Peter came to a jolting halt. Joy and Peter dismounted and walked towards the yellow hue just over the ridge in front of them. As they crested the hill, they saw what they were looking for: a vast field of all natural polyester fiber growing under ultra-violet lamps. They quickly scanned the perimeter of the fields seeking the man in white, but saw no one.
"The best we can do is burn it," stated Joy. Peter fetched his bicycle and rode it around the field, using the handlebar-mounted flame-thrower to incinerate the crops. Once their task was complete, Peter radioed back to Kim at the house using the short-wave radio mounted to his bike. Since the brothers had spent hours fooling around with the antennas earlier that day, they had a great signal. "Mission complete, Soapcake."
Kim's voice crackled back over the radio, "Roger that, Pink Phantom."
