You follow the raven off through the woods. At first its easy; the forest under the canopy is open and spacious between the trunks of the tall trees and there's no undergrowth or briars to get in your way. The midnight bird flutters from tree to tree, croaking occasionally and though you sometimes hurry to catch up, its easy to follow.
Leaving the path, the unicorn and the tree far behind, you follow the raven. Eventually the forest gets darker, the trees get closer and less and less light filters in through the canopy. You can still hear the raven, somewhere ahead, croaking to you to catch up but you can no longer see it. Your legs are getting tired and you need to rest.
The raven wants you to follow it, and it waited for you at the tree with the unicorn so it probably won't fly off without you. On the other hand, if it did you'd be completely lost.
