You wake up in a dark room with no recollection of your life prior, and you can only see about 5 centimeters in front of you. The room smells strongly of mildew. It’s completely silent, except for the constant dripping of water from the ceiling, and your breath, in tune with the dripping.
Suddenly, a low chirp from behind you interrupts the quiet setting. You slowly turn around. You barely get a look at it when you hear a shrill screech. Feeling threatened, you crouch down do look for a knife or a sharp stone. In the darkness, you cut your hand on a rock. You pick it up, and prepare to fight, if necessary. Your eyes adjust, and you see a giant squid, red in color. You begin to question how a squid would live outside of water, but the squid wraps a tentacle around your waist. You stab repeatedly at its arm, it hopes that you can cut off its tentacle. After many stabs, your arm feels tired, but you see the tentacle is almost completely gone. In a final attempt at success, you slash at the arm, cutting it completely off. You stab at its eye, or at least what you think what its eye is, until the horrible screeches stop.
With the monstrosity dead, at least, you hope, you decide to look for a way out. You head out the only apparent opening and you come to a room with three branching paths: Left, Center, or Right
