Ulric has had chivalry and the knightly code drilled into him since he was a small boy, and beleives completely in honour. He would happily lay down his life in service to his king or attempting to right a wrong. Having led a sheltered life, he knows little of how the real world works. He beleives that it is his duty to defend the defenceless, uphold the honour of the virtuous and punish the evildoer. He would never stand idly by if he saw an injustice committed. Ulric is a polite man, but he can be overly confident at times. Plus, he can be rather gullible.

History:

Ulric was brought up the middle son of the house of Lanchester, a mid-level noble family who ruled a small town in the northwest of Rhollaria. His two youngest brothers were raised as a priest and a mage, but all the rest of the sons of Lanchester, himself included, were raised as knights- gentlemen warriors, the aristocratic fist of the King's forces. He learned his craft well, one of the top pupils at the school he was sent to. He became a squire at fifteen, was granted knighthood at seventeen and won his first tourney four months later. Nowadays, he fights regularly in tournaments, whenever he's available for one. He's also fought in a few skirmishes against hostile forces, but has never seen a real battle.

• He's extremely skilled with the longsword, with or without shield.
• He's also highly skilled with knives, axes, polearms and hunting bows, and has an aptitude for learning skills with other weapons.
