Early n00bhood
Why X_marks_the_ed joined
Ed originally joined because no one around him, not even his friends, seemed interested in RPG programming. In a search for other people like him, he stumbled upon Charas, which had used several times before for resource creation and gathering. He joined the forums to get to know other RPG Maker users.
First day
Ed made a very bad first impression when joining Charas by creating a second profile made for a very bad joke directed at Charaman. He has learned from that horrible mistake and wishes to forget about it, so he baleeted the thread.
Current times
Contributions to Charas
Ed has contributed a few resources for the nearly empty front-style faceset sectionofthe generator. His most recent submissions being recolors of the coat.
Ed has also designed a Wii-styled version of the forum for a dead contest. :P
Annual Edless day
It happens every year. Ed leaves for at least a week. This is when many festive events occur, including last year's mod elections. Everyone is much happier on this day than any other day!
Activity on the forums
The easiest way to summarize Ed is to call him a clown. Ed loves to hang around the unmod board, as he is constantly a victim of boredom. He still changes his avatar often, but less often than in the past. If his avatar changes nowadays, the new one is more likely to be relevant to his previous one. Ed no longer uses chicken man, dirk, or the priest, but of a character from a comic he draws in his spare time. The character's name is Jack.
Jack is easily recognizable as being not only having a punmpkin for a head, but wearing a pirate outfit, replacing the eyepatch with a pair of women's underwear. "Eyepatches are hard to find."
So far, the avatars including Jack are:

-A Jack swinging his head, as to a melody.
-Doing the Caramelldansen. (As clearly disapproved by Bluhman.)
Attitude
Towards noobs
Ed has been known to join in on noob/newb bashing, but if he comes across a newb being attacked for no real reason, he will defend him/her. He has given advice to some new members to make themselves seem less noobish. An example would be when runeforger got flamed just because he took something a little too seriously. Ed was the first to actually complete part of his request.
Towards Rules
Ed believes rules are what keeps chaos limited. Sure chaos would be fun and exciting, but only in cartoons, comics, online videos, and gif animations. In real life, rules keep us from killing each other over a single "your momma" insult (which only shows weakness in thought if used). Rules keep assholes out of the forum as well.
Nicknames for members
Usually, to keep from typing long member names (or to just poke fun), Ed will call a member a nickname based on the member's username.

Fads
Signature duel!
Although he did not start the signature, Ed started the fad itself. The original "duel" signature started with Ppl_mage's tiny animation of a thug performing flips with a knife to catch it and loop again. Shortly after, Bluhman took the animation and placed it next to a Chisoku animation, both facing each other. Ppl_mage retaliated with adding the Chisoku animation and two more thugs on the original thug's side with the caption "bring it on!" This is where the signature stayed for a week.
The fad started when Ed took notice to the animations and decided to take a small crack at it. His intentions were merely to recieve a small chuckle and then remove it, leaving Bluhman and Ppl_mage to do whatever they wanted to do with them from there. Ed removed one of the thugs on the side to fit a same-sized image of his current avatar, Jack, leaning over Chisoku's shoulder with the caption "Wahtcha doin'?"
Shortly after lilsniffs3 noticed Ed's version of the signature, he took it upon himself to expand it further and remove another thug and placing his own character behind Jack with the caption "Hey guys!" Ed noticed this and retaliated by slaying lilsniffs3 in the vending machine. He no longer recalls why.
Lucas_irineu decided to join in by removing the original thug and replacing it with Pleseant, a Pokemon of his own design facing Chisoku and Jack with the caption "Get ready for a beat up."
The Real Ed
Imprisoned Ideas
Ed is plagued by the NFT story. It is constantly growing and can never seem to end. Ed is actually beginning to lose important details of the story in his head. But Ed cannot finish the game(s) knowing that no one is interested. Instead, he uses the empty IRC to role play as his characters and develop them from there. It seems only Lucas_irineu is aware of this practice.
The Romantic Side
Outside of Charas, Ed is characterized as more of a "romantic" style of person by his friends and several of his fellow students. Ed hopes to bring this characteristic to Charas and show them who he really is. If anything, he hopes to post Black My Sun, a book written by him that still needs to be revised about the non-jewish (the German people without any money to their names) side of the holocaust.
Trivia, yay!
-Ed changes his avatar just about every week.
-Ed is known for absolutely nothing.
-Ed's original avatar was that of the priest in the RM2k RTP faceset.
-Ed did not move on in the mod elections for lack of faith despite having a signature depicting his chicken head with two thumbs up and "Ed for mod"
-Ed is not an article of clothing.
-X_marks_the_ed actually did not derive from Ed, Edd, and Eddy. X_marks_the_ed is a derivitive of x marks the spot and Edward Omin, his alter ego.
-Ed still has an empty bottle of maple syrup in the awesome points game, despite A Forgotten Legend taking it.
-Ed used to post in the Charas Pub until Meiscool and Drace told him he was never funny.
-Ed was the first to use a plot in Avatar Wars.
-Ed is slow to fads, unfortunately, as he does not visit 4chan, ytmnd, youtube, the most awesome webpage, etc. So when he does find a fad that's funny to him, everyone else is already sick of it.
