Proto Mike is the Super form Mike can achieve. It's usually triggered by an "Up-Grade", or when he doesn't have one he can activate it by manipulating the static within him. Abilities

Mike's current appearance and his three transformations.

Mike has a good amount of speed, skill with a sword and the ability to manipiulate lightning; when lightning is under his control, it turns blue to signify such. His newest form has a jetpack which enables him to fly no matter the situation, too. He can change into a Super form, a Hyper form and an Ultimate form.

Cosmetic Changes

The varying appearances Mike has undergone, from his original incarnation to the modern-day spriting swordsman.

Mike has had three seperate appearances for his avatar; the original one, which he first joined Author Roommates with, was a Mega Man base and sported brown boots, a blue tunic-hat combo, a red belt and a Tails-styled fringe.

His second appearance was taller, so he could stand at the same height as a Sonic base. It had the same clothing, but the boots were changed for running shoes, his fringe was turned into a customised tuft of hair, and he now wore a white undershirt and white pants. This appearance saw the most use, as it had several updates of skin shade and hair colour.

His third and currently final appearance has lost the Zelda-based clothing and gone for a much more original feel; Mike now sports space-age armour which doesn't weigh him down, red shoulder pads, extended boots and a jetpack. The general design of his boots remains the same, as does his undershirt and he still has the same tufts attached to his hair.

Proto Mike

Proto Mike is the Super form Mike can achieve. It's usually triggered by an "Up-Grade", or when he doesn't have one he can activate it by manipulating the static within him. Appearance-wise, he basically just receives a Proto Shield motif to his clothing/armour. However, his abilities increase beyond imagination. He gains the power of flight, manipulates a more powerful form of energy (Red electricity to signify this), wields a more powerful Red Beam Sword, a larger and more durable Proto Tower Shield and his relatively small Piko Piko Blaster becomes the mighty Piko Piko Cannon, capable of wrecking the most powerful of armour systems. But all this is nothing compared to the next stage up.

Mike, the Game Champion

Also referred to as Game Champion or GC, this is Mike's Hyper form. Unlike Proto Mike, it requires numerous items to achieve transformation, and more to stack onto its strength. These items are all video game artifacts, but Mike uses fake replicas. The Chaos Emeralds give him his Sonic-like hairdo and power of flight. The Crystal Stars give him all the powers of said stars, while also re-doing his Proto Shield to have a Starman-like appearance. Despite the shield's smaller size compared to Proto Mike's, it is far more durable and can fly through the sky. The Star Rod, Master Emerald and Triforce all come together to form GC's sword; it is shaped like Oni Link's, glows green with the Master Emerald's energy and has a pink handle similar to the Star Rod. This sword can shoot razor-sharp stars, imbued with the Master Emerald's energy. In this way, he can negate all Chaos Energy. Ancient Chozo technology allows GC to use all of Samus' weaponary, although primarily her Grapple Beam and Morph Ball. The Morph Ball is several times larger than the real thing, and the pieces can be used as explosive weaponry. They regenerate the next time they're needed. Last but not least, he wields his own version of Captain N's famous Power Pad; this one is shaped like a Gamecube controller, and can utilise nearly every button. However, GC most commonly uses the A Button to jump with force, the B Button to charge up powerful attacks, the Start Button to stop time and the Control Stick to increase his speed further. This can all be controlled telepathically, so the Power Pad itself is mostly an accessory. And if you thought that was hard to beat, he has an Ultimate form too.

Scan Mike

Scan Mike is the singlemost powerful force in Author Roommates. He appears to be like Mike in casual clothing and a greyscale appearance, but do not be fooled by this. He is the only form of Mike's that has developed its own personality. Scan Mike is cruel, calculating and has a thirst to prove his might to anyone who dares oppose him. Scan Mike can transform into anything he has scanned, and can chop-and-change the abilities of anything he has scanned. He could, for instance, mix the brute strength of Zathura with the speed of Sonic, coupled with the flight capabilities of Mike's earlier forms. Since he achieved a more powerful level in his first outing, he has been able to create pure energy to use at his disposal as well. And since then, he has used Mike's computer to achieve every form he can, including those that were previously inaccessible like Super Sonic. Indeed, his only weaknesses would be that he cannot instantly learn to control an enemy's form, and that he lacks Mike's compassion. Or is that one a strength? Scan Mike's transformation is triggered by little more than Mike willing him into existance, at which point Scan Mike takes control of the body. In his first outing, he forced Mike to give him control through brute strength and cunning, after which he attempted to wreck havoc on the whole land. Luckily he is now back under Mike's control, where he is forced to obey direct commands and a list of friends, enemies and neutral parties assigned by Mike. But how long can this last? On top of this, there is a fierce rivalry between Scan Mike and FinalFuryFighter, very similar to the initial rivalry between the two hosts... But in this rivalry, it's a last-man-standing scenario.
