In his outdoor environment, ADF fears everyone around him, going so far as to conceal various weapons on his person, thereby breaking city, state, and federal laws, simultaneously. When made aware of this fact, he gave the flimsy and somewhat unsettling assurance that he is "aware of this" and that he "does check his local laws". These statements are obviously bullshit, but ADF has consistently and genuinely expressed interest in acquiring armaments for personal defense, such as pepper spray, tasers and various ancient Japanese implements, so he is likely to be considered armed. This is so he can be ready for the attack from forces unseen, which will never come because the idea that anyone is trying to kill him is all in his mind.

Growing up on the mean streets of Philly, Phillype has no doubt witnessed his share of crime. With a crime rate worse than the national average (in all categories), Philadelphia is probably one of the least hospitable cities to live in in all of the United States, even more than Detroit. His childhood may also contribute to this distrust of the people around him as he charges his parents with mentally and physically abusing him by forcing him to act like a boy when he was younger. As a gay transsexual genderqueer activist, he is probably also very aware of the violence experienced by members of the LGBT community. Finally, having been a victim of crime himself on two occasions, it may be somewhat understandable as to why he feels the need to take measures to protect himself. (Note: these are actual reasons for his paranoia, but completely separate from his persecution complex, no doubt cased by a case of unwarranted self-importance).
Why these measures end up being so extreme is a bit of a mystery. A common human response to a bad experience is to avoid the action that caused it or to at least minimize the likelihood of it happening again. If someone gets mugged on a particular street, they'll probably change their route to avoid it. They certainly wouldn't parade down that street with an arsenal, much less announce to the whole world their intent to do so, thus ruining the element of surprise (and more visits from state troopers), which is exactly what ADF did. Clearly, ADF wants everyone to know he's not to be trifled with, but his announcement to DA only alerts those people that probably don't even interact with him on a daily basis. Likely his desire to be viewed as dangerous is just another publicity stunt aimed at gaining him more attention and cool points with his idiot followers and to dissuade his enemies from making any more meen commentz on his page.
[edit] ADF Is Getting a Gun
Aside from knives ADF is also trying to acquire firearms and, even more frightening, a concealed carry permit, which, being that he's in the States, he'll probably get without any problem. He has yet to express any intention on learning how to use a gun. His reasons for exercising his second amendment rights are quite simple. If someone tries to harm him, he wants to be able to defend himself by calmly pulling out a gun (permitted of course) and telling them to back off. Oh and he's also tired of all the black people and homophobes in his neighborhood and wants to send them all to camps after he overthrows the US government in a bloody revolution and installs himself as ruler of a new Queer dictatorship. Until then, he must always be on alert for threats to his person because he will never be safe. So what you'll probably have is a mentally unbalanced, radical, paranoid ADF on estrogen, who's carrying multiple guns he doesn't know how to use, running loose on the streets of Philadelphia (law enforcement, take notice), advocating revolution. Given that the city is literally run by the mob, it's likely that everyone in Philadelphia is packing some form of heat, so bustin out a 9 while wearing an East German (read SS) uniform with a Sasuke wig, while yelling "MALE PRONOUNS ARE PUNISHABLE BY DEATH", would probably get him killed on the spot in the most retarded way.
