Wizards vs. AZNs

From The Extended Group

The hypothetical struggle of "Wizards vs. AZNs" was penned by Jeremy in 2005 to describe Peter's changing social affiliations. Despite heavy moral support lent to the so-called "Wizards" by various group members, the much derided AZNs were able to easily gain control of Peter's soul.

History

The first signs of a "war" between the competing groups were noticed by Jeremy, as Peter's behavioral patterns began to slowly change as his tenure at Shorewood came to a close. Instead of spending his weekends with the usual ensemble of gamers (colloquially known as "Wizards") at the Cho House, Peter took to attending school dances and staying out later with a newer group of friends who shared an interest in their common Asian heritage. After a matter of weeks, Peter's social interactions with the two were completely asymmetrical in favor of the AZNs and sightings of the Wizards became few and far between. Group experts speculated that the addition of females ultimately provided the impetus for AZN victory, with some chance encounters between XG members offering a glimpse of this new reality. One incident involved a horrified Owen eavesdropping on a meeting in the Cho's back room, where one of the aforementioned girls was heard asking Peter what his "favorite color" was. Despite Peter's perceived allegiance towards all things cute and Nintendo-related, and the assumption that the Wizards could be aided by their knowledge of magicks, the latter have since been rendered obselete.

Aftermath

It is unclear today whether or not the same group of AZNs retain control over Peter's social life, although the effects of their victory are still being felt. While no signs of cataclysmic upheavel immediately followed the usurpation of the Wizards' throne, some theorize the event as the last act in an extended paradigm shift, starting with that time Terry broke part of Jeremy's SNES, and concluding in today's "Post-Cute Cho Family" era. The fact that the Cho family has yet to purchase a Wii, and talk of the Purple Starfish Mailman ceasing delivery routes along NW 180th St and 2nd Ave NW seem to lend credence to this theory.
