Kufi

From Speakeasy

A kufi is a skull cap worn by Muslim men and boys. Some Afro-centric men and Rastafarians also wear them for a "black" ethnic fashion statement. The kufi often forms the base part of more elaborate headgear such as turbans or keffiyeh. It is also used by itself in cultures where turbans are not typically worn. The kufi is also less expensive and easier to wear than a turban. The use of headcoverings among Muslim men comes from the sunnah or actions of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
