[19:30] * Whiteout is currently airbourne, in search of something that -isn't- apples and gloriously relieved to be able to stretch out his wings after a night underground. Keeping an eye out for the hordes of last night, he drifts towards town. ()

[19:30] * DustyFeathers eyes the muffins suspiciously. "How long have you had those, exactly?"

[19:30] <MarissaInaba> Ah. Well, if you don't know, that's okay. Don't push yourself. Oooh, muffins!

[19:30] <SolidGear> <hal> "So...lets hope the others aren't too far off...I don't want to trot for hours at a time right now." Solid Gear mutters, mildly keeping an eye airborne for pegasi.

[19:31] <~NiteBrite> Right.

[19:31] <~NiteBrite> hal->cafe, NB: "It couldn't have been that long," NB interjects overhearing the conversation, "my stuff in my locker was still in pretty good shape."

[19:32] * narrator notes that the cafeteria has a hole in the roof where it partially fell-in on dusty previously.

[19:33] <~NiteBrite> Besides, those muffins look fresh enough.

[19:33] * ~NiteBrite takes one and bites it.

[19:33] * MarissaInaba takes one of the muffins; she figures that even if they're baked bads, she can use any potential illness to extort a favour or two

[19:33] <SolidGear> hal -> cafe: "Yeah...so that means this place should be okay..."

[19:34] <narrator> the muffins are still fairly fresh. So its been less than a week

[19:34] <~NiteBrite> Yupf, shteel goof.

[19:34] * ~NiteBrite talks with his mouth open

[19:35] <DustyFeathers> "Well, I suppose I am hungry, and it's better than wet cardboard." Dusty starts to nibble on a muffin.

[19:35] <~NiteBrite> *full

[19:35] <narrator> the flavor is blueberry.

[19:35] * MarissaInaba finishes her muffin afore speakin'. "Hm. Well, NB is right. These were made pretty recently, and I doubt they were made AFTER the zombies."

[19:36] <Sweetness> So where have you been hiding out? I haven't seen you around the school

[19:36] <DustyFeathers> "You never know, zombies might not feast on muffins..." She grimaced to Marissa while clearing the crumbs around NB

[19:36] <~NiteBrite> haha. Goof wone

[19:37] * ~NiteBrite swallows the chewed muffin bits.

[19:37] * SolidGear has been busy surveying the cafeteria, neglecting to grab a muffin as she wasn't the least bit hungry right now.

[19:37] <MarissaInaba> *eyeroll* well, DUH. What I -meant- was that I doubt it'd be possible to bake muffins at all without the zombies noticing and eating you or whatever it is they do.

[19:38] <DustyFeathers> She felt a crumb spit on her face and almost immediately flapped her wings around her, trying to wipe it off.

[19:38] <~NiteBrite> Dusty, hold still I got it.

[19:38] * ~NiteBrite licks the crumb off.

[19:38] * Whiteout has drifted out from above the acres of apple trees, and is now eyeing the buildings below with curiosity.  "Wonder what put the hole in the school..."

[19:39] <~NiteBrite> there nice and clean

[19:39] <SolidGear> "Hey everypony present...? I have this feeling like we're being watched from above...anypony else have that?" she asks, shivering lightly.

[19:39] * DustyFeathers shivers too, for another reason.

[19:39] <DustyFeathers> "Ugh... Thanks Nitey..."

[19:40] <~NiteBrite> My pleasure.

[19:40] * ~NiteBrite turns to Sweetness

[19:40] <~NiteBrite> I just realized, we haven't been introduced yet.

[19:40] <~NiteBrite> My name is NiteBrite and these are my friends.

[19:40] * SolidGear looks to Sweetness, "Uhm...yeah. Hi, I'm Solid Gear."

[19:41] <MarissaInaba> Marissa. Pleased t'meetcha.

[19:41] <DustyFeathers> "Oh, well we only just met her ourselves... I'm Dusty Feathers, you can call me Dusty, or Feathers, I don't mind."

[19:42] <Sweetness> I'm Sweetness.

[19:42] <Sweetness> Pleased to meet you.

[19:42] * DustyFeathers nodded her head before looking up at the hole in the ceiling.

[19:43] <DustyFeathers> "Hey, Solid... Do you want me to check up there for you?"

[19:43] * Sweetness offers a hoof for a hoof shake but seems to it is wide to the left

[19:43] <narrator> The roof has collapsed in such a way that it is possible to climb out using the rubble as a ramp

[19:43] <narrator> to the roof

[19:44] * SolidGear nods to Dusty, "I'd like it if somepony with wings took a look, yes."

[19:44] * SolidGear moves to the 'ramp' of rubble, "Though...I'll go with you, it seems the rubble is...solid enough?"

[19:44] * ~NiteBrite shakes hooves with Sweetness.

[19:45] <~NiteBrite> Seems okay Solid.

[19:45] <DustyFeathers> "I suppose we should go together, after all, in case something happens." She started flying towards the hole in the roof.

[19:45] <Sweetness> ha, nice pun

[19:45] <Sweetness> good idea.

[19:46] <~NiteBrite> strength in numbers and all that.

[19:46] <~NiteBrite> NB and Sweetness trot to the ramp.

[19:46] * DustyFeathers keeps flying higher above the roof, taking a good look around the area.

[19:46] <~NiteBrite> Coming Marrissa?

[19:46] <Whiteout> Large white pegasus hovering about?  Not exactly the stealthiest thing on hooves.

[19:46] <MarissaInaba> Yeah, I think I'm staying down here. I'd rather not fall and break my neck.

[19:47] * ~NiteBrite is glad to be a pegasus.

[19:47] <~NiteBrite> right.

[19:47] * SolidGear climbs up the rubble, glad she wasn't too unsteady on her hooves on these broken bits of rubble.

[19:47] * DustyFeathers looks around.

[19:48] <DustyFeathers> "Did you hear that?"

[19:48] <~NiteBrite> HEAR WHAT? NB yells to the flying Dusty from the roof

[19:49] * Whiteout starts at the yell, peering downwards towards the buildings below.

[19:49] * SolidGear glances to NB, "She probably heard somepony flying about."

[19:49] <Sweetness> Oh, a friendly perhaps?

[19:49] * SolidGear decides to try walking about on the cafeteria roof, hoping she doesn't hit an unsteady part.

[19:50] <DustyFeathers> "I'm going higher..." She does so still scouting out for any pegasi.

[19:50] * SolidGear yells up to Dusty, "Just be careful of going too high!"

[19:50] <DustyFeathers> "Solid! My feathers aren't THAT dusty, I'll be fine!!"

[19:50] <narrator> Some parts of the roof feel as if they'll fall through as they walk around, but as long as everypony proceeds with caution, these areas can be avoided by feel.

[19:51] <~NiteBrite> Hey Solid, hold up a sec.

[19:51] * Whiteout can't resist, dropping a bit lower towards Dusty with a grin.  "Can't be that bad, you've still got lift!"

[19:52] * ~NiteBrite walks over to SG

[19:52] * DustyFeathers lets out a little yelp.

[19:52] <DustyFeathers> "Oh. Um... Hi! I'm guessing you don't wanna eat me, right?"

[19:53] <Whiteout> Er... no?  Can't say that I do.

[19:53] <DustyFeathers> "Phew. Well then maybe you should stick with us or something... You do know what's happened, right?"

[19:53] * MarissaInaba is looking up at everyone as best she can, but is comfortable remaining on solid ground, thankyewverramuch.

[19:53] * SolidGear looks over to NiteBrite, "Just be careful walkin' around...I can feel some of the more unsteady bits of roof underhoof."

[19:54] * SolidGear is calmly and slowly picking her way around on the rooftop, finding the centralmost spot and sitting down there...carefully, in case its an unseteady part.

[19:55] <~NiteBrite> No worries, I'm a pegasu-uuuus. *NBs left fron hoof pokes through the roof*

[19:55] <~NiteBrite> And p-pegasus ponies don't f-fall.

[19:55] <Whiteout> 'Bout the only thing I -know- is that there's a lot of really creepy-acting ponies chasing around acting like zombies.

[19:55] * ~NiteBrite starts to hover

[19:56] <~NiteBrite> Oof its been a while since I've flown

[19:56] * SolidGear smirks amusedly at NiteBrite, "You should fly more often then."

[19:56] <DustyFeathers> "Right. Well, that's kind of all you need to know, I guess... I have some friends back on the ground, you can't be all that safe on your own."

[19:57] <~NiteBrite> I-I just wanted to ask if you're ankle was feeling any better. I thought about you climbing the rubble and...

[19:57] <~NiteBrite> ()

[19:58] <Whiteout> "Oh, I'm not all that on my own.  Ran into a few earth ponies over in the Acres, they're still hidin' out a bit while I take a look-see."  He has the grace to look a bit embarassed. "Wasn't feelin' like spending any more time cooped up inside, anyway."

[19:58] <~NiteBrite> If you need some help getting back down. You can always lean onn me

[19:59] <Sweetness> Hmm, Idon't think we should leave Marissa alone for so long. I'm heading back down

[19:59] <Sweetness> roof-> cafe: Sweetness slips and slides back down the loose rubble ramp into the cafeteria.

[19:59] * SolidGear she sighs and looks to her left front leg, "I'm fine...it's stopped feelin' so sore."

[20:00] <DustyFeathers> "Hmm... Could you lead us to them if they need protection?" She slowly starts drifting downwards, indicating Whiteout should follow her.

[20:00] <Sweetness> Hey Marissa, I'm back.

[20:01] <MarissaInaba> Gah! Are you alright?

[20:01] <SolidGear> "Anyways...yeah, I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought..." she looks aside to notice Sweetness gone, then contemplates who else isn't around and sighs tiredly.

[20:01] <DustyFeathers> "Oh, by the way, I'm Dusty Feathers..."

[20:02] <~NiteBrite> You aren't just saying that because I'm short. I know it can be awkward

[20:02] * Whiteout is pretty content to follow. "I don't see why not.  They've got a pretty decent little hidey-hole going, but might do with some company."  He gives a friendly grin at the introduction, offering a hoof of his own.  "Whiteout.  Pleased ta' meet ya."

[20:02] <Sweetness> We're okay. The yelp was Dusty. She flew into somepony and got a little startled

[20:03] <Sweetness> But he didn't seem to be a zombie so it should be okay.

[20:03] <SolidGear> "It is awkward to lean on you, Nite Brite...but only 'cuz...well, you're a good friend and that's kinda reserved for really close ponies, right?"

[20:03] <MarissaInaba> Okay, good to know.

[20:03] <MarissaInaba> Still, they should be careful.

[20:04] * DustyFeathers takes Whiteout's hoof and shakes it as she keeps slowly descending. "Likewise. I'll introduce ya to the rest when we touch ground."

[20:04] <MarissaInaba> Are you sure you're alright? You did just fall offa th' roof.

[20:04] <~NiteBrite> Really? I'll have to write a letter to the editors of 'Everything you wanted to know about friendship but were afraid to ask'.

[20:05] <Whiteout> "Sounds good to me.  You don't realize how few ponies you really know 'round here until most've them have gone all carnivore on ya."

[20:05] <narrator> S'alright. Happens all the time.

[20:06] * narrator eyes derp

[20:06] <narrator> (is sweetness)

[20:06] <MarissaInaba> ._.

[20:06] <MarissaInaba> Uh... right. *now she feels bad about planning on taking advantage of her earlier*

[20:07] * SolidGear is slightly blushing, trying hard to not be embarrassed.

[20:07] * DustyFeathers finally reaches the ground, only just realising she never let go of White's hoof.

[20:07] <SolidGear> "uhm...well I guess you could write to them? Wait....there are editors for that book?"

[20:07] <~NiteBrite> There was nothing about that in chapter three... *ponderhoofs*

[20:07] <DustyFeathers> "Hey, everypony! I found a non-pony eater!"

[20:07] * ~NiteBrite looks up.

[20:08] * DustyFeathers hides her hoof away.

[20:08] * SolidGear looks to Dusty Feathers, then to the new pony standing nearby, "Hiya..." she waves her metal hoof to him, smirking amusedly at Dusty's actions.

[20:08] <~NiteBrite> WOAH.  Were did he come from.

[20:08] * ~NiteBrite was unawares

[20:08] * Whiteout doesn't mention it, although he does stagger a second on putting his weight down on a less than stable bit of the roof, ending up bumping into Dusty's shoulder.   "Whoops!  Er.... hello."

[20:08] <MarissaInaba> C'mon, let's get you somewhere where you aren't gonna get things falling on your head.

[20:09] <Sweetness> Okay

[20:09] * Sweetness follows Marissa's lead.

[20:09] <DustyFeathers> "He sprang out from the sky. His name's Whiteout. Why don't you say a bit more about yourself?"

[20:10] <DustyFeathers> She catches Solid's smirk and looks at her unamusedly, mouthing: 'It's not like that!'

[20:10] * MarissaInaba shouts up to the other ponies. "Imma take Sweetness somewhere less likely to collapse, guys! We'll meet up later!"

[20:10] * SolidGear giggles softly, then rolls her eyes as if to say 'as if'.

[20:11] * MarissaInaba figures she can loook around for other pony survivors as well.

[20:11] <~NiteBrite> I-I'm NiteBig-- Err, noo I mean NiteBrite, NiteBrite.

[20:11] * ~NiteBrite is stunned by how tall Whiteout is.

[20:11] <~NiteBrite> comparitively

[20:12] * MarissaInaba heads off with Derpy 2.0 to the hallways.

[20:12] * Whiteout chuckles. "Not much interesting to tell.  Looks like I picked a bad day to miss class, though!"  Idly twitching a wing into a more comfortable fold, he grins at NiteBright.  "Wasn't sure if anypony was left around here but the creepy zombie-looking ones until last night."

[20:12] <Sweetness> cafe->hal: So what are we looking for?

[20:13] <~NiteBrite> Oh! Speaking of which, how long ago would you say the zombies appeared

[20:13] <MarissaInaba> < caf -> hal > Dunno. More survivors, provisions, whatever it may be we need.

[20:13] <~NiteBrite> if you don't mind me asking.

[20:14] <Sweetness> Provisions? That I can help with. Follow me.

[20:14] <MarissaInaba> Anything useful we can find, really. Gotta be pragmatic in survival situations.

[20:14] * SolidGear scuffs the roof with her metal hoof, making an odd scraping sound as she listens, pondering how long it's actually been for them all here.

[20:14] <MarissaInaba> Right. Lead the way! *follows Sweetness*

[20:14] * Sweetness leads the way to the sophmore hall lockers lockers and stops infront of # 96.

[20:15] <Sweetness> Behold

[20:15] * Sweetness opens the locker

[20:15] <MarissaInaba> It's a locker?

[20:15] <Whiteout> Not entirely sure, I was off taking care of something, and didn't get back to town til yesterday.  Wasn't really sure what was going on 'til I saw a couple of ponies over on Sweet Apple Acres tryin' to outrun a bunch of the zombies.

[20:15] <Sweetness> it is full of muffins

[20:15] <Sweetness> "My personal stash"

[20:15] <MarissaInaba> *grin* Ooooh, very nice.

[20:16] <SolidGear> "Huh.....what did they look like?"

[20:16] <MarissaInaba> Close the locker for now, an' we can go look for somethin' we can easily carry 'em with.

[20:17] * Sweetness closes the locker.

[20:17] <Sweetness> Good idea. Beats having to sneak back in here every time I want a snack

[20:18] <Whiteout> Oh, those two? Bright-lookin' filly dressed up like some kind of bum with spikes, skinny little guy who can run like the blazes.  We sort of stumbled into another white colt with a bad pitchfork habit.  Anthrax, Mach Dasher, and Triple Crown, if I recall correctly.

[20:19] <MarissaInaba> Yeah, that's true.

[20:19] * SolidGear blinks a few times, "Wait...really? You met those three?! Wow....small world."

[20:19] <~NiteBrite> Oh thank goodness they're okay.

[20:19] <~NiteBrite> Although I don't know Mach that well.

[20:20] <DustyFeathers> "Dashy and Crown are safe?!" Dusty squealed. "Come on guys, we need to help them!"

[20:20] * ~NiteBrite is getting tired of hovering over the weakspot in the roof and start to droop closer to the ground

[20:21] * MarissaInaba goes back to exploring the hallways looking for anything else of note

[20:21] <Whiteout> "No rush, Dusty.  They've got a pretty nice little hidey-hole to themselves.  Not a bad place to spend a night, if you're into holes in the ground.

[20:21] <Sweetness> So like a cafertia tray or one of those ball bins from the gym?

[20:22] <DustyFeathers> "What about the zombies? I don't want my Dashy turning to a zombie!"

[20:22] <narrator> Marissa will spy a zombie pony lurking the halls. It hasn't spotted her yet

[20:22] <SolidGear> "Yeah, I wouldn't be too worried if Mach and Crown are getting along...those two together will buck the snot out of any zombie pony."

[20:22] <MarissaInaba> I was hoping for something a little more portable than a big bin. And it'd be too easy for miffins to fall off a tray woah hey zombie *she instantly shuts up*

[20:22] <~NiteBrite> Y-yeah.

[20:23] * SolidGear looks to NiteBrite, "You should land...all that hovering isn't doing you too much good."

[20:24] * MarissaInaba quickly gestures at Sweetness to not make any noise, silently but emphatically pointing out the zompony.

[20:24] * ~NiteBrite lands on the weak spot in the roof and falls through

[20:24] <~NiteBrite> WA- *thud*

[20:24] * DustyFeathers rolled her eyes. "I don't think we'll be having any tests for a whi-- OH GOSH, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!"

[20:24] <narrator> Where?

[20:24] * Whiteout snorts. "Can't say you don't have a point, there... WOAH!"

[20:25] * SolidGear blinks, staring down through the hole there, "...Nite? You okay?"

[20:25] <Sweetness> Where?

[20:25] * Sweetness looks curiously around the corner

[20:26] <MarissaInaba> Ack! *quickly grabs Sweetness and shushes her*

[20:26] <narrator> There is a lot of dust in the cafeteria below so it is hard to see

[20:26] <~NiteBrite> ...

[20:26] <Sweetness> mmph

[20:26] * MarissaInaba whispers harshly but quietly. "Subtlety is key here! We do NOT wanna be noticed by the zombies!"

[20:27] <narrator> The dust starts to clear and NB is burried.

[20:27] <narrator> but it starts to shift around.

[20:27] * Whiteout hops into the air, fanning his wings to try and clear some more of the dust. "You okay down there?"

[20:27] <~NiteBrite> *muffled* I think so

[20:27] * SolidGear looks aside to Dusty and Whiteout, "Uhm...I'm gonna go try and get that rubble off him. Maybe we should head back to the Tardis soon?" she asks, clopping around to the ramp to head down.

[20:28] * Sweetness nods confirming that she understands

[20:28] * MarissaInaba slowly leads Sweetness AWAY from the zomponie and toward the others.

[20:29] <Sweetness> *whispers* but what about the muffins

[20:29] * DustyFeathers hovers up a little and looks towards the direction of Sweet Apple Acres.

[20:29] <MarissaInaba> we can come back for the muffins later. Right now our survival is more important. Pragmatism, remember?

[20:29] <narrator> as they clear the rubble, they find that NB has landed in a large tub of the schools infamous 'watery cardboard oats'

[20:30] * Whiteout winces at NB's predicament. "Ugh.  That's hard on the feathers."

[20:31] <~NiteBrite> *cough cough* I *bleck* never thought I'd be so happy that the schools oats were so watery

[20:31] * SolidGear sighs at this, "Me too...well, at least you're safe, if unable to fly."

[20:31] * DustyFeathers gently glides down to the cafeteria.

[20:32] <DustyFeathers> "Oh, wow. Even that's come to haunt us. This really is a nightmare..." She starts to giggle.

[20:32] * SolidGear looks aside to Whiteout, "So, meet you back at the Gym? I'll walk with NiteBrite so he isn't going to be scared of any zomponies still here..."

[20:32] <~NiteBrite> It ruined my foam hat.... Anyways, I want to visit the library before we leave.

[20:33] <MarissaInaba> That means survival comes before everything else. Food is important, not getting caught is more important.

[20:33] <Sweetness> Pragma-whosis?

[20:33] * Whiteout shrugs at SolidGear. "Works for me, but what the hay is a Tardis?"

[20:33] <Sweetness> hal->cafe: the two of them enter the cafeteria

[20:35] <MarissaInaba> :| wait you know about that weird thing that took us here in the first place?
