You continue to threaten the spies, and believe killing all the spies wouldn't be a good thing, so you continue to threaten them. They refuse to put down their guns. Then they start firing at you, and one hits your right arm, so Voux-prez's gunpoint status is broken, and while you are trying to fight back, you are riddled with bullets and die.
